Danny , don't you think this loan business has got out of hand? They could have fielded another eleven between Sheff Wed and Stoke. How many has Penney fielded so far this season? Once again legislation will have to be introduced to stop clubs abusing this concession.

The buck stop with the league here for me, they do all the paperwork, they keep all the records.

The amount of short and long term loans a club can have is changing every season, you can't blame clubs for getting it wrong.

If Stoke are awarded the 3 points, then Hull, Bristol City, WBA etc will want to sue Sheff Wed if that costs any of those other clubs promotion!!!! I think it will be a hefty fine for SWFC, and maybe they will have their point deducted, but Stoke will keep just their one. It's not in the League's interests to have so many clubs up in arms, it'll be a case of "hard luck Stoke"

They'll get fined about 5 grand which won't even scorch them. I think we got fined more for fielding a 'weakened team' which beat a club in the division above in the Paint Pot Placebo Cup.

Which incidentally was won in a half empty Wembley with NOOOOOO fanfare at all by MK Dons yesterday.

I told you no-one cared.

Aren't the Wendies supposed to be a professional football club. If so they should know the rules for their business whether the rules change every year or not. Its a bit like a firm of accountants not knowing the latest budget changes. If Bury got chucked out of last years cup for a "minor" breech of the rules then the Wendies should lose their point from the Stoke match. Stoke should be awarded the three points because they played against a team that had broken the rules.

However, lets watch the "Big Club" adjudication with interest. It will be a pointer to what happens to the Leeds appeal over their points deduction. I have a feeling "Big Club" rules will apply. All the clubs solicitors must be salivating at the prospect of all that litigation.

Leeds lost the game in question so had no pints to deduct though.
