Brown And Liddle Injury Update

Danny Wilson was facing up to another injury blow as well as defeat after the clash with Swansea City at Victoria Park this afternoon. James Brown and Gary Liddle were both forced from the action with injury and the Pools boss admitted afterwards it's just typical of a luckless campaign. "We're sick of saying it but every week we seem to be falling foul of injuries and decisions," Wilson told Pools World.

"James Brown took a heavy whack on the knee in a tackle from behind that wasn't punished even though it was very late. "His knee is badly bruised and I hope he'll be ok for next weekend but I really don't know. "Gary Liddle has a bad laceration across the top of his thigh and he's been taken to hospital to have stitches put in. "It's a very deep wound and I would have thought he'll be out for quite a while."

I couldn't believe that their player wasn't booked for the foul on Browny which forced him off, it was a mile late. Yet a few minutes later the same player was booked so it should have really been his second yellow.
