"Not one for the trenches" ?

It's always puzzled me this one. I've been in countless trenches and the one thing that I can say without any fear of contradiction is that rarely if ever, are football matches played in watery 6 foot long holes.

Well that is probably the case as i can't see teams queueing up to sign the likes of Ali G can you? How we managed to find a team desperate enough to take him on loan I don't know.....

Whereas there are a few clubs 'interested' in Sweeney.

Ah shuddup, he had a career, he enjoyed it, it's finished, and now he's doing something else after having had ten or twelve years doing what we all never achieved.

There's a million Eifions out there who never bashed a good one in at Cardiff, never got on the telly, never did all the things we saw him do in front of a bigger audience, a top man, a polite and quietly spoken professional sportsman.

He would be embarrassed by this discussion. Let him do what he's doing, he would ask little else. confised

This board is full of people telling other people what they should and should not say.
If one can't get a bit of mileage out of spelling mistakes, what is the point in going on?

Kev, once again you have hit the nail firmly on the head. After reading some of the shite posted by Tree with graveHamster disorder and some of the others, that was nice way to sum up Eifion and his contribution to Pools. He always gave 100%, had loads of pace and skill and never complained about playing out of position. So he might not have been the toughest of characters - so what? In closing, as a fan, who would you want to see coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go, Foley or Eifion? All the best for the future Eifion.

You really are a complete wanker. He DIDNT always give 100%, anyone who says so obviously did not see him play much as there were many times when he clearly was not interested and practically begged to be subbed! Pace, yeah I agree, he had pace and a bit of skill although little compared to the likes of Monky. The thing is Obafemi's rent boy, I dont patronise like many others on this forum and I say it how it really is/was. Many were glad when we did not re-sign Effion and those same people are now coming out with gubbins saying how they always loved him and he deserved better. He didnt deserve better as he did not do enough to earn another contract! END OF

Good luck to Effion in whatever he does, he seemed like a nice down to earth bloke but Im not going to say he was a cracking player as he wasnt.

Bollox to all the debate etc, whats been done is done! The debate is just tainting the issue.

I think it's fitting to remind everyone of Mr Gaunts tribute video the links below.

Fantastic. Brilliant Danny. Well done to SGW for reminding us. A true Poolie is Eifion. He and his family have adopted our town , just like that other Welsh legend the one and only Kenny Simpkins. Ken is currently unable to attend matches. Come back soon Kenny...we miss you.

You can always tell when someone is losing an argument when they start abusing you like Tree/Grave is with me. Just state your case without the personal stuff.

So all of the members on here had a private meeting with you and disclosed that fact to you? Give your arse a rest and talk out of your mouth for a change.

I made a perfectly correct statement that in no way at all suggests "all members" told me so. I spoke to 3 or 4 people who all said your an annoying wanker. I dont remember you from when I used to be on the board to be honest.
