It looks like Swansea and Carlisle or Donny will go up automatically this year, meaning only one of Forest or Leeds could go up through the play-offs, provided they get to the final.

Looking at the Championship, relegation candidates include Sheff Wed, Leicester, Southampton, Norwich and Coventry.

I think this confirms that there is room for Pools in the Championship, at least for one season. In the meantime I am looking forward to matches at these former Premiership sides, even if it is only in the hope that we'll finally win a game in front of a 'big' crowd.

Wasn't it Coventry who came out with the "likes of Hartlepool" comment? Let's hope we get them then!

Last time they were in danger of relegation they said something like "we don't want to end up playing the likes of Hartlepool" rage

the quote " playing teams like Hartlepool " was made when they were due to move to their new stadium for the start a new season and they were in danger of playing at in in League 1.

Won't it be embarassing when there are more away fans than home fans?

In your white elephant of a stadium I mean? These big crowds are obviously not going to be made up of Darlow fans.

I think you're confusing justice and revenge Mr Sisters.
Justice would be Pools fighting relegation in the championship instead of them.

there's been an evening up of wrong-doings in some sense, in the respect that we are now a division above both Chesterfield and Rotherham. The fact we went up as they both went down last season had a sense of justice being done in the fashion of killing two birds with one stone. Now for those twats from S6...................

That's one thing they can do cater for more than 4,000. Have you not heard of the cavery? the loids could feed the five thousand on it  Why do you think Phil Stamp stayed so long? Three choices of meat and a hesculator you know with club crested hand dryers.

They'd be absolutely fooked if they wanted to see a football match though, especially if they liked watching games from the kick off.

It's a good job the crowd has only swelled to 3,000 regulars to see the clubs best season for 17 years really.

How do you know the far side of you're stadium doesn't have pest problem? Nobody ever uses it. You could have bigger rats than a 60 year old hooker for all you know. It must be like staring at that Arsenal mural they had at Highbury for 90 minutes....... before they painted the people in.

so what is the fact relating to how many of the 25000 seats are you allowed to use

that is like driving a 53 seat bus round the town on your own

your stadium is bigger
as your running costs must be
as our average attendance over the season is

but you have more empty seats well done you must be so proud stpid

You can have a pre-match carvery at Pools we only have stairs though unfortunately.

We don't go on rival clubs message boards pulling our plonker over it either. That would be fooking pathetic wouldn't it?

Just like going the Boro really Tom, just with a much calmer sea at the Riverside and loads more gimps.
