ALB 8: Good penalty save, a shame about the rebound. Was helpless for Nelson's own goal. Couldn't really do much about the third. Looked solid.
McCunnie 4: wasn't on the pitch long enough to make his mark, it's a shame that one lapse of concentration lead to his sending off.
Nelson: 6: Own goal aside he looked ok and didn't do much else wrong. He seems to be forming a good partnetship with Collins. To be fair the first 30 mins aside the defence didn't have much to do.
Collins 7: I like the look of him, he never gets fazed and gets things done. A shame he got injured.
Humphreys 7: He looked fairly solid again. I would have liked to see him put more crosses in. Great movement and header for the goal.

Sweeney 7: He did well today, he got up and down the flanks well. When McCunnie got sent off he helped out in defence when needed and worked hard to do so.
Boland: 5: A few stray passes. He doesn't seem as sharp as last season and a player in his role needs to be sharp and cannot afford to make bad placed passes as better teams will punish you.
Liddle: 7: One of the reasons I think we dominated is was because Liddle was quicker and fitter than his opposite numbers.
Monkhouse 7.5: He had a good game and gave their right back all kinds of problems. He got kicked quite a bit, once in his face (no yellow).

Porter 6.5: For the first 30 mins Porter and Mackay did not get many oppertunities to make their mark and were thus quiet. As the game went on Porter started to get more involved and cause them problems.
Mackay 5.5: Same as Porter, not many oppertunities in the first 30 mins. Struggled to make his mark.

Clark 7: As solid as ever.
Craddock 5: Shame about the pen, had a nice turn and shot and a volley that went over but other than that didn't have much time to make a mark.
Foley 5: Didn't make a mark.

Agree with Tickhill's other ratings on fans who were and weren't there.

Ref 2: Penalty incidents asid (which are up for debate no doubt) he was very poor indeed.
Pools Fans: 8, made plenty of noise.
Tranny Fans: 0, made no noise apart from the school children in huddies who were prancing about and trying to mock us Pools fans, which made them look even more silly. I bet their parents are proud.
Wilson 6: Only one criticism, I know Mackay and Porter didn't have the best of games but by the end of the match we had two strikers who hadn't score a league goal between them in their careers but that shows our lack of options in the striking department.

Pools 7
Tranny 3

Pools Luck: 0
Tranny's Luck: 10

Done and dusted, that good enough for you Mutts?

ALB - 8 - can't fault him for the goals; looked very sound, just one dodgy half-fumble
McCunnie 1 - stupid tackle left us with 10 men but wasn't up to much even before he left the pitch
Humphs 8 - him and monkhouse are made for each other, handled the dwarf very well but took a few too many risks for my liking; gets an extra point for a good goal
Nelson 2 - one more than McCunnie for managing to stay on the pitch for the full 90 minutes; was instrumental (to say the least!) in their first two goals
Collins 8 - a pillar; gets all the simple things right
Monkhouse 8 - they couldn't handle him could they, looked a constant threat but didn't always make the right decision
Sweeney 7 - good honest effort and looked more dangerous as the game went on; dare I say he looked better without having to worry about MCunnie behind him?
Liddle 6 - did nothing much wrong but didn't do a whole lot right either
Boland 7 - inconsistent but came in with some very good tackles when needed
Mackay 5 - sorry Michael but you did nowt yesterday
Porter 7 - would have had 9 or 10 if his first half display had been less indifferent; the second half was a different story and they couldn't get anywhere near him

Subs
Clark 9 - absolutely commanding
Craddock 7 - yes I know he cocked the penner up big time but he had a hand in our goal and was more tenacious on the ball than Mackay
Foley 6 - not on long enough to figure out the best way through their defence

We tore 'em to bits in the second half right from the restart. But once Nelse scored his beautiful goal it was always going to be a struggle. I haven't seen the stats but I'd guess we had many, many more shots than them and certainly more on target. Calvin Zola was complete shite but we still managed to foul him stupidly leading to their third.

Nice one Mr Richard, that's just about spot on although thought Nelson was better than a 2, but he did give the ball away a lot, nearly as much as Sweeney  it's fairly obvious Mr Daniel and Mr Ticklehill were stood obstructing each others view, and are already starting to sow the seeds for the the Boland out Clark in roadshow to begin.
