Pace and energy to burn but I thought he lacked some quality and composure tonight. He wouldn't be getting praise if they'd have robbed a point late on after that miss.

I'd love to see him sign a contract tomorrow but out of our attacking players he was the worst tonight and that's not saying he had a bad game.

I tell who was superb the recently much maligned Willie Boland. A brilliant game.

Agree PJ. I said to my mates that he had a superb game. Gave the ball away once in the first half but then had a great game. And he had a shot!

Probably Bolands best game in a Pools shirt - outstanding tonight

I can't find a player who put in a poor performance - shame Mackay missed a sitter, but he is very much a work in progress, give him 12 months in the first team & he is a potential legend

You can harp on all you want. But you weren't singing Sweeney's praises two months ago were you. I wasn't there tonight but i heard he missed one really good chance.....?

As a central midfielder sweens is rubbish, no where near as good as Boland or Liddle who give a team structure and a solid platform even when Boland is having an off day. Playing with Sweens in the centre is like playing with 10 men as he always goes missing. Sweeney is not very skillful and his passing is usually poor to average. he will be droppen when James is fit because he simply isn't up to the standard of many other players that we have......

I like the bloke but he's had a bad few months in terms of form, he had a spell recently when he was getting hauled off after an hour in every game.

Again though he was immense tonight.

Total bollocks but your opinion here's mine

I'm sure the lads playing against him or with him don't feel that. He is totally different player to Liddle and Boland why compare them?

What is your fookin problem?

Jonny gives his opinion on someone. He is allowed it.......just like you.

If he wants he can change his opinion. Just like you have in the last couple of weeks.

Give it a rest.

I concur.

I've not changed my opinion on anything sctatchinghead I criticised Wilson for continuing to pick Budtz and I have continued to back him as our manager. Don't see any change of opinion there like. And I don't think Jonny needs you to back him up. Did you pay in last night or get a freebie? rolfl

Not really. Just wondered. I seem to remember you giving me stick for getting one that's all. Nice to see you've stopped the abuse anyway. You've gone up in my estimations.

PJ - I compare Sweeney to Boland and Liddle because he plays in the same posistion. To justify him playing in that posistion he really needs to weigh in with a lot more goals than he does. He hardly dominates in a midfield battle does he?

Anyway i think me and you have done this one to death time and time again.

And OO some of us base our opinions over the course of time not just over short term flash in the pans.
