I haven't seen the video so the photos don't show how much intent there was. If it's as bad as it looks then Taylor should be banished from football for life. the lad will be lucky to still have his leg after that. I'd be very surprised if legal/criminal proceedings don't ensue.

Why is he smiling after he's done it?

I don't think he's smiling.

To be fair to the lad you can see he is devastated. He doesn't even argue or react about the red card he just looks shocked and gutted at the clip of Eduardo's leg.

Even Wenger has retracted his earlier comments that Taylor should "never be allowed to play again".

They showed David Buust's injury god knows how many times. Oh, but that wasn't Arsenal; we can't possibly offend them.

In fairness, it's a really bad open fracture, the raggy ends of his tibia came right through the outside of his sock and his foot was flapping like a paedo in Mothercare. :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

We got it here on Hungarian TV in all it's nauseating glory. The lad will be lucky to walk again never mind play footy.

Mind he'll still be more mobile than Barker......

They showed it on last nights showing like (at least I think they did, I was pi55ed), was pretty horrific like! And it didn't look as though the lad meant to do it, it was just a miss timed tackle sadly.

Aye, it was a bit out of order wasn't it. I was "full of fook" (c) Parmopooly at the time. It was still a daft thing to say.

On serious fouls like this I think that the perpatrator (Taylor in this case) should not be banned for life but be banned until the victim is playing regularly again with wages going to either a footballers benevolent fund or a worthwhile charity. I guess that under the current system any ban and fine that Taylor receives will be comparitively insignificant.

whilst agreeing that the injury to eduardo was horrific
the whole incident seems to have miraculously
cured wengers myopia instantly
lo and behold he actually saw something and commented
on it unlike the numerous occassions when the likes of viera and his other shitbags
transgressed and the big nosed twat remained silent
wenger welcome to the board you whingeing bastard
rage rage rage rage rage rage

What a spoilt brat William Gallas was on Saturday.

The week before he kicks out at Nani, 'cos he was ripping him to bits and they were getting lashed.

Then on Saturday he throws his toys out the pram again at the final whistle sits cross legged on the pitch for 5 minutes refusing to move.

Excellent behaviour from a 30 year old man

I personally thought that Wengers attitude was crap... he kicked off about this but at least it was a (tragically mis-timed and over the top) tackle in attempt to win the ball. It wasn't even two footed and how many of them have we seen flying in lately.

Last week though Arsenal's players were blatently kicking lumps out of Man U, that Nani in particular. There was even some of the pundits on football saturday saying Nani was out of order by doing keepie ups etc with the ball - what a load of sh1t!! If he's in control of the ball he can do whatever he likes, it's up to the opposing team to get it off him!

True Mr Pompey.

In fact weren't Wenger or some of the Arsenal players giving out veiled threats that Nani would get seriously hurt?

There's some irony kicking about here somewhere.

Even Gallas was white with shock after seeing that tackle. In a game they dominated and fighting for points for a player who probably won't be back for more than a year, I don't blame the bloke. Especially when it's his own teammate that throws it away in the 5th minute of added time

A true sportsman should take defeat with dignity and grace, not like a petulent spoint child who over the past few weeks has not led by example like the captain that he is.

What if Lehman had saved the penalty and the forward Gallas was meant to be marking knocked in the rebound while he was acting like a kid at the other end of the field?

It was one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen, if I was Wenger he wouldn't be my captain anymore and he would be waving bye bye to two weeks wages.
