What was your first car?

Mine was a Cortina Mk II with a vinyl roof (followed by a Triumph Toledo)

Morris 1000, paid 75 quid in 1974. Like driving a tank, still learning, and hit another car trying to park, decided to go to another pub for a drink instead. Not a scratch on my car, but one of my passengers played for a local football team. That following Sunday one of his teammates was complaining about some idiot denting his drivers door while he was having a quite pint. Like a good friend he didn't let on. :uhoh:

My second car was a Mini, I bought for 50 notes, and wrote off in a multi story car park in Ipswich, but thats another story.

R Reg Hillman avenger.

This was followed by a Capri which blew the engine so I 'dipped the headlights' (in the docks). I then bought another Capri with the insurance money.

[for any official readers, this is complete invention for purposes of entertainment]

I had it for a year, then traded it in at the Clock Garage which is now Pools Offices, for a souped up Renault 5 that had no brakes.[/quote]

i too purchased a car from Clock Garage a 1972 triumph dolomite 1850 TC which i loved but was the usual bag of crock that they sold ended up waiting 4 months for them to get hold of a second hand engine to put in it in the meantime i got a lend of a beetle of them which had so many things wrong with it when the police stopped me i got 3 endorsements and got a six month ban TWATS.
ps i went in there originally to buy a mk3 cortina 2000 gt but some scottish bus driving amateur photographer at the time had been in earlier that day and bought it.
TWAT rage
