Next thursday is one of HUDSA bashes for the centenary with some of the players so that rules out me, probably Chunkey Monkey and possibly a couple of others.

I'd definitely be up for it normally but next Thursday is no good for me.

Well I'm having a run out in the works five-a-side team this lunchtime, so I'll know if I'm fit probably tomorrow morning, but if we are missing some 'regulars' it would seem better to postpone to another date.

If I played, I would need the use of half a pool cue to scare away the opposition, otherwise the chances are they'd take the ball off me.

I'll try and get some decent footwear too in the meantime, can't keep playing in these plimmys every week.

And i especially can't for a proper game.

I'm a centre half by trade like so i'll do any defensive 'stuff'

I'm declaring myself fit again, came through the works five-a-side okay at lunchtime, run of the mill 5-2 win for us. Three league games to go and we sit top of the league in our first season in the competition, a win next Tuesday and if other results go our way we will win it, we've upset a few apple carts this season me thinks!

The date suggested looks okay to me.

look i dont reckon the opposition will be that much fitter than us, but even so we really need about 12 lads there cos thats how many they are bringing.

its a much bigger pitch and it will be non stop, so we are gonna have rolling subs so that lads can grab a breather.

i also want cover cos we seem to get a couple of injuries every week.

yubep and kolly are probably good for an hour at full pelt, and the rest of us can play 30 or 40 minutes apiece.

thats 8 of us. ripper will probably be up for it, so we only really need 3 more from the regulars for a full squad.

Of course I do Mr Katcha. I've been getting kicked about since I first started playing football so it's nothing new. It merely serves to keep me on my toes and to ensure I don't think I'm too clever.
