...was the message coming out on the radio the other morning from the great and the good of football, about the league structure. The basic premise was that a club like Yeovil for instance, would be OK because it's in an area where there are no competing teams close by... however any team below Championship level withib 20 to 30 miles of a Premiership club should call it a day. The argument being based on the fact that with the 'small' crowds they get, they aren't worth the effort financially... If only it was that simple. I PICKED A TEAM, NOT AN INVESTMENT ACCOUNT ... We'd be on the pack it in list by the way, going by the criteria.

i was at a function a couple of year ago and was sat next to this fat obnoxious bloke, after dinner and a few drinks etc we got talking about footie and i told him i was a HUFC fan etc.........He went on to tell me how clubs like Hartlepool where finished and should give it up now, he then went on to tell me that he was a director of Middlesbrough FC and in his opinion football fans are basically really stupid, he said quote

" we could put another 20 quid on the price of a ticket, and the morons, after a couple of month of moaning would pay it" Hartlepool couldnt do such a thing as they dont have the fan base etc etc............we are the dogs bowl of footie etc etc .

He would have needed a fork removing from his eye, and I would have needed a solicitor. Not joking either.
