The Premier League boss listed his priorities today.

1. Fixtures.
2. Other world bodies.
3. The premier league.
4. The fans.

I agree with Dibble, I think the Premier league has already begun to implode. Look at the lesser teams like Middlesbrough, Wigan or Blackburn. No full stadia there and prices have been forced down, in some cases below Pools prices.

The successfull clubs will always attract large support especially in the major cities but you need both. Birmingham is a huge city but their ground isn't always full, if they were successful it would be. The situation is such now that before a ball is clobbered in August you know that one of four teams will win everything and its a soul destroying existance when a good season is not being relegated. Mind you is that worse than the Blackburn's of this world who won't go down but won't win anything either.

Excessive money has destroyed top level football in this country. People used to look at the first division results no matter who they supported. Now most premier league teams and the league itself are despised.

Agree with that greed at all levels in the premier league is killing it .
But it could benefit the lower leagues as people want to watch footie it might get fans supporting there local sides.

I think it might. Any young kid who wants to support a big club simply cannot afford the entry fee. You can't climb over the fence either in the time honoured way. At least at Pools and the like its accessible and I suppose you can still crawl under the turnstiles.

Also, the players are still happy to interact with the fans on a personal level as we seen at Southend the other week with Mr Nelson.

I was referring to nimble kids not stout gadgies with a medicine ball stuck up their jumper.

But most of the scruffy twats in THIS town dont actually attend 'their' teams matches..........they simply don a black and white shirt and claim to have 'supported' Newcastle all their lives.

These people are not nice people.

And i hate them.

Sorry to have to announce this to you but there are more people than ever "following" the top premiership sides.

Advertising works on the masses.

I was speaking to a regular in the local the other night who said he followed Liverpool. He then went on to explain he'd supported Rotherham since he was 4 y.o. and still does but everyone has a second team they want to do well don't they - his son's is Arsenal - and it's especially cool to be able to watch them on the box.
He did stress that Rotherham were his first team though.
But he did have a soft spot for Liverpool.
Although Rotherham were the only team he felt any allegiance to.
But he did enjoy watching Liverpool. And he was gutted they got knocked out by Barnsley (I was pissing myself laughing as he said that). See Barnsley are Rotherham's Derby rivals aren't they. But he was also gutted because he'd like to have seen Liverpool stay in the cup so he could see more of them on the telly. He does like Liverpool you see. But not as much as Rotherham.

that last paragraph sums it up for me what these people are all about. It's Pools or nothing for me. I would simply stop watching football if anything happened to Pools. If Pools disappeared, and somebody told me Halifax Town had won the Premiership, I still wouldn't be interested - because no Pools = no interest.
I am passionate about my club, my team, my town and I don't want to think about what my life would have been like without Pools. I think of all the people I've met through Pools who have become firm friends for life, and subsequently through Pools-based message boards like this - none of that would have happened.
I wouldn't know Mutley or Mr I or ADG or Groovy Crimes or Mouldy Old Dough or Lightning Tree or anyone else I've forgotten to mention.

Hang on a minute, Pools you bastards!!! How could you do that to me?? rolfl
