Sheff Wednesday for comedy reasons.
Coventry on the slim chance Dimi will come back.
Sheff United as we have too many southern teams in.

For similar reasons to Sheff United, I want Rotherham to go up.
I am 50/50 on Darlow going up as it is too stressful facing them.
Peterborough as it's easy to get to.
Rochdale because they've been in League 2 for too long and I want to boo Doolan.

Why would you 'want' Darlo to get promoted out of interest?

I don't think it would be a bad thing if they did as this league needs more doable away games, but it would be far funnier if they fooked it up again something which they have a real chance of doing in my eyes rolfl It would be hilarious if they failed to get out of that crap league again though.

I certainly want Scunthorpe to stay up, when was the last time we beat them in the league!? I nearly posted when was the last time we beat them until I remembered the answer was August!!

OK let's see.

Relegated: Sheff Wed., Sheff Utd., Hull. Three great gates and three games within 3/4 hour of me :)

Promoted: Darlo (for obvious reason), Rotherham, Grimsby, and Lincoln (all pretty close to me plus we tend to get quite a few goalfests against the latter two.)

All right all right they've got no chance but nobody said it had to be a practical choice !

i would also rather Darlo fukked things up again. Division Four is shite and they are in a really good posistion so I expect them to be joining us in league one soon but I would much rather they didn't.....

What makes people so sure it's crap?
Well, you might be right but surely the advantages of playing Darlo twice would far outweigh a one off belly laugh, yeah? no?

I'm praying the Loids mess it up as usual, George Haughton naffs off cos of the low crowds and Dave Penney leaves for a bigger club than Darlow (which is around 90 of the clubs in the league).

They've lost to Wrexham and Mansfield in recent weeks and over the course of the season haven't beaten any of the top sides. They are hardly nailed on, I'm not impressed with there team either they have a solid back four at that level but the midfield is crap and I wouldn't want any of the strikers at the Vic apart from possibly Abbott but he's been a total waste of money so far.

They aren't very good. Workmanlike, solid, and fourth division.

Mr Head I hate Derby games to watch, they aren't enjoyable in the slightest unless we are dicking them like at the arena last March.

Division Four is obviously crap, it was last season when we won most games barely breaking a sweat. There's no Accrington Stanleys or Macclesfields in league one - that's for sure......

Well i hate the bounders and i hope they blow it as usual.

And when we get beat, Darlo getting beat certainly makes my day. It's the first result i look for infact.

I'm very much fence sitting on the Darlo thing. I prefer them to lose rather than win but it does not compensate for a loss by Pools. I, like Chip, have more time for Loids supporting their home town team than plastic premiership 'fans'.

As for whether I'd like them to go up or not; I do like the Derby games but should they go up, on this seasons showings we can look forward to our years of 'mind the gap' comments being returned with interest. Now that I wouldn't like but on the other hand if they come up their current team would struggle big style.

What goes around comes around. Surely nobody believes the GAP to be a permanent thing? Are you implying there are people here who wouldn't be big enough to take it...? :uhoh:

i dont understand folk who say they dont enjoy the derby games with darlo. i love them. the 3-0 win at their place last season, isnt that what football at its best is all about ?

Totally agree! I enjoyed that game more than any other I had done for years! Surely we all did??
I too know a few Darlo fans and (you might not like this but..) they are probably very similar types of people to ourselves, i.e. support a lower league team that hsitorically hasn't be great etc etc. I hope they do come up if only for the derby games and to take the pi55 out of the fans I know when they do sh*t.
The banter is a great laugh but I don't really hate them, can't see the point? Why get so worked up about another football team that happens to be quite close to the one we support?

I was clearing a cupboard out the other day and I found a DAFTS (Darlo Away Far Travelling Supporters) pin badge, given to me by a Darlo fan a few years ago.

I was in a restaurant in Cambridge one Saturday night with our lass and her family, and two Loids were on the table next to us. Darlo had played Cambridge that afternoon. The two Loids were both good blokes, and like some of the others say, I've more time for a lower league fan who supports their team than a plastic Geordie/Mackem/Man U/Chelsea etc.

For the record I think Darlo drew that day, whilst we had dicked Carlisle!

i actually dont mind darlo doing well. i dont really think about them that much if im honest. im not one of these that thinks darlo getting beat makes up for pools not winning.

ive actually heard people coming out of the vic after a pools defeat saying " at least darlo got beat " and never really understood how that compensates.

i know a few darlo supporters and they are sound blokes. i certainly have more time for lads from darlo that support darlo than lads from hartlepool who support the mackems or the mags.

and i would much rather have them in league one than hereford or wycombe which are both a nightmare to get to and even harder to get out of.

for starters darlo will have a decent stab at filling the rink end and secondly i really enjoy it when we play them at their place. you are back in the house within an hour of the game finishing.

What a refreshing chap you are fireball clappp As for the rest thrilled thrilled thrilled
