the porter thing "superwatty" mentioned is spot on tho - he just hasn't articulated what he means. the porter thompson thing took place, JP gave ball away, then we won it back, at which point the TV footage kicks in of liddle giving the ball away. because on the footage people can't see JP and AT they presume he wasn't there or has got it wrong.

i love some of the insults they come up with on there. classic. there was a guy on the tube the other day, a shouter, having a go at people for not budging up and letting him on, he used the term "dickwit". i'd not heard that since school playground days, i should have suggested that he signed up!!

I see absolutely no reason to doubt that superwatty was at the game on Saturday, and I don't know why others do. As for his comment on Phil, he said he saw him going into the Golden Lion at the top of the hill at around 1:45. Well, as I was with Phil at the time I can confirm that he did exactly that.

So what about Watty's claim from a few months ago that he used to play for Glasgow Celtic many years ago as a striker?

Now all this could of course be true and hence the reason he is now working as a scout for Pools or some other club, IMO it's all bull and I also bet he was in the SAS before playing for Celtic.

I have just registered to enlighten one or two of you guys.

Nelsonshead is not superwatty , nor is she mr Ripper. She is actually my wife. She , our daughter katy and myself are season ticket holders and are Pools fanatics. we travel thousands of miles each year supporting Pools and in fact after i finish typing this little message i am getting in my car to travel up to watch the RESERVES.

She reads the message boards and anything else to do with Pools and I think it is a bit rich that just because she happened to defend superwatty she has to be questioned as to her credibility. reading this thread I think some of you have an obsession with the old goat. he is a wind up merchant who sometimes is worth reading.
Grabec knows of me because we enjoyed discussions on vital some time ago , as does John Cooper. In fact my wife has written an article in monkey business in the past, and we are both examining the possibility of helping out with distribution. PIN will confirm this.

This is very interesting, Mr Tickhill. One thing that intrigued me all along was how your wife managed to look up the threads on Rivals which were being alluded to at Christmas, and which she was using to defend Mr Watty, when as far as I could see, they had been deleted?
Also, why, when she apparently reads the boards so closely, she identified me in her Christmas posts as being one of the main 'Watty antagonists'??
But it doesn't matter all that much. God forbid that all this should be dragged up yet again

I would suggest , politely of course , that you put your spade back in the shed before you also get lost in the hole you are digging.
I have read the christmas thread you refer to before replying to you and I fail to associate any of my wife's comments remotely associating you as a 'Watty Antagonist'.
I also noticed that you were the first person in that thread referring to Superwatty. You were also the first person to question my wife's gender with your he/she , him/her suggestion.
Are you not surprised , as a woman yourself , that another woman would take exception to that?

We both read what he has to say and I unashamedly admit that we enjoy most of it. He is different and a character. I don't claim to know as much about him as Mutley who I think is obsessed with him.
He is obviously an old man , probably on his own , and enjoys winding people up on Rivals.Maybe it is his only pleasure. I don't think bashing a 78 year old ( I think that's what Mutley said he was) carries any medals or badges.
He is quite often worth reading and seems to have an extraordinary knowledge of Pools and the game in general.
Some of the other things he claims to be associated with are just ridiculous and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
You have to separate the bullshiit from the factual.
It would be a sad world indeed if we lost fanciful characters like that feller.
I'm sorry if I have bored anyone ( I haven't written so much since letter writing stopped) but all this accusing business is not needed.

Yes I did enjoy the bovril and the pie. Was starving. I left it a bit late to set off and got there a couple of minutes after kick off. Didn't have any tea.
