Its laughable listening to all you loyal poolies turning on Wilson. A few of us ( who have been castigated all season for our views) have been saying since September that Wilson and the team are just not good enough. Now suddenly you all agree, nowt as queer as folk as they say.

And I find it queer how people who write stuff like this come across as being so pleased they were right and everyone else was wrong.

I DONT WANT TO BE RIGHT, WOULD RATHER BE WRONG,BUT POOLS NEVER PROVE YOU WRONG,THEY ARE SO PREDICTABLE.

IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME HOW THICK THE MAJORITY OF POOLS SUPPORTERS ARE. TALKING OF THE PLAY OFFS AND WAXING LYRICAL ABOUT HOW WE PLAYED LEEDS AND FOREST AND JUST ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE OFF THE PARK ONLY TO BE UNDONE BY BAD LUCK ETC.EVERYONE KNOWS THE HALLMARK OF A POOR SIDE IS ONE WHO DOMINATE GAMES AND LOSE, AND THE HALLMARK OF A GOOD SIDE IS ONE WHO DO LITTLE AND WIN. GOD I SEEN IT ENOUGH IN THE 70'S AND 80'S. WHEN WE WERE OFTEN THE BETTER SIDE BUT NEARLY ALWAYS GOT BEAT.

YOU WOULD THINK LESSONS WOULD OF BEEN LEARNED AFTER 2005/06 BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT.

THANK GOD FOR ROCHDALE, OTHERWISE WE WOULD BE THE NO1 LAUGHING STOCK OF THE LEAGUE.

100 YEARS OLD AND WON FOOK ALL AND NEVER LIKELY TOO EITHER.

MAYBE THE SUPPORTERS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE, ALWAYS HAPPY TO SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST.

Excuse me Oh Prophet Of The Doom. Can you take your finger off the caps lock, you nosiy get.

Thank you.

Now what exactly do you want from this club??

Lets have a look up who we're up against. Forest, Leeds, Doncaster, Swansea, Southend, Tranmere, Huddersfield, Millwall, Brighton......all teams with either a much bigger infrastructure than us, all recently much higher fliers, or, all in areas where people want to move to, all getting bigger gates, need I go on.

So come on then, you who's named after a Man Utd Portuguese winger, or is it just 'Ron' to your friend, what's the answer?

Now I'm not thrilled about the season either, but I am realistic. And this league is a bastad ((c)ADG).

Just have a look at last night, 1-0, 0-0 all over the results.

'Cept us like.......

Yeah but - realistically - are you happy with the way we have played?
With players played out of position?
With the baffling formations / selections / substitutions?
With the lack of effort shown by the players? Or the fact that they couldn't care less if we lose?

No, I'm bust in bits to be honest. I have to get up in the morning and open the results with one eye shut, it completely fooks my day up.

But I'll be honest, I'm more in Mr Moisturisers camp than the majority. It's a rare occasion when the board can go and head hunt a manager for this club but they did head hunt this one and not because he's daft.

I don't see how some players can be having good seasons and some bad ones if the manager is to blame.

I know who's arse I'd be kicking and it's not Wilsons.

Big and ugly though he might be.

Before Ian screams 'mafia' there has been a problem in that dressing room since the days of 'this bus drives itself' and until its driven out nothing will change.

hmm, I kinda agree Kev

but I'm impatient like all modern day football fans, and also very worried about relegation

sacking Sc**t never saved us as sacking Wilson might not, so I dunno if its worth it, but it might just do the trick this time confised

I do think there is a problem with Wilson but I don't think it will be solved by sacking him. The only possible replacements are managers who have failed elsewhere.

If the current first team can't be bothered then get some of the kids in, at least there'll be some enthusiasm around the team.

how come you always turn this on the players
the manager is responsible for who he puts out is he not?
he is responsible for how they play is he not?
he is responsible if they dont play it is his job is he not?
the man is totally lacking in any ideas how to change it
the same scenario against Cheltenham as it was against Scotts final game
four players at least telling him this is not working how can we change it and the response was just keep doing what you are doing
well that Mr Wilson will find you in the same position as Mr Scott out of a job
clutching at straws with his selections
never known from the beginning of the season what his best team is
his so called replacements have never worked either
he cant attract players to the club of any note
time he was doing cartwheels out of the place before the fans do the same
THERE IS ALWAYS A REPLACEMENT MANGER

Players who only put half a shift in and run around with their arse in their hands piss me off. Most of them should look to the real example in this squad - Ben Clark. He just gets on with it, does his best no matter what.

so get a manager who can make them play because this feller can't
anyone would have got us promoted last season and he is living on borrowed time from that

We go through a manager a year on average and nothing seems to change. I suspect there is something in the squad that is a real and devisive problem. They're happy when things are going well but they don't have the determination to do it when the pressures on.

apart from your self and a few others most of the fans are behind the players because they can see the problem is the manager and there are numerous examples even on this board to that effect

the players we had in 96/97 and 98/99 to fight relegation to the Conference were real battlers. real Hartlepool players in the best fighting traditions of our little club. This lot flies in the face of all those teams from the past (71/72 re-election battle for example). They are every bit like the gutless twats from 05/06

Yes in a poor league when everything was relatively easy. Ask them to graft and they can't, its below them.

Give me a team of Roy Hogans and Brian Honours any day of the week rather than this lot.

Name names in the squad who you think are good enough but not prepared to graft then.

And others who you think are "up for it" even if they are technically limited.

I have to admit last night it didn't really look like a manager problem to me.
But if I'm wrong and it really was Wilson who instructed them to knock long balls up for David Foley, then I agree he has to go!

Oi, You! POOLIE KEV, WHAT DO I WANT? ER! WIN A TITLE WOULD BE NICE. ER! A SEASON IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP WOULD BE NICE. ER! TO WIN AWAY AT A PREMIERSHIP CLUB IN THE FA OR LEAGUE CUP WOULD BE NICE. ER! TO PLAY IN A DECENT GROUND WITH A DECENT CAPACITY WOULD BE NICE!

MOST CLUBS HAVE DONE THESE THINGS, EVEN THE ONES WITH SMALLER INFRASTRUCTURES THAN US, LIKE SCUNTHORPE, CREWE FOR EXAMPLE.

ONLY ROCHDALE OF THE ESTABLISHED CLUBS HAVE ACHIEVED LESS THAN US.

YES POOLS ARE PUNCHING ABOVE THEIR WEIGHT,BUT IS IT GOOD ENOUGH TO ACCEPT MID TABLE MEDIOCRITY SEASON AFTER SEASON. I DONT THINK SO.

Ronaldo? stpid

A decent ground with a decent capacity? stpid

When was the last time supporters were locked out on a regular basis?

Do you not think that the ground is a thousand times better in terms of facilities than it was just 10 years ago?

I don't want to accuse you of being a loid but I must assume that if you're not then you're just a bit thick.

just a comment :sweeeet:

Maybe so, like I said, I don't want to accuse the fella of being a loid.

So maybe he can answer my questions regarding his comments on the ground if he is a die-hard long term Pools fan?

If we had ambition we would be pushing for a stadium holding 10 thousand at least. Thats why Sunderland Middlesbrough Swansea Hull Doncaster build stadiums bigger than their average gate, AMBITION Their would of been over 12000 against Leeds if we had bigger ground.

Probably been going to Pools longer than you.

Well I agree that it would be nice for our stadium to hold at least 10,000 including a bigger away end to maximise revenue from the bigger clubs who visit.

But in reality I can understand why IOR are reluctant to spend more money on the ground unless or until they own it.

So who is showing the lack of ambition and holding the club back? HUFC / IOR or Hartlepool Borough Council?

And the ground is still miles better than it was!

I thought there is plans in place for a 3800 seated stand where the rink house stands, once we buy the ground. Any news or whispers going about re us purchasing the ground confised its been quiet about council and club talks etc.
