...Unless you had other commitments or really, really couldn't afford tonight for some reason, you missed seven goals tonight by choosing not to go tonight just because the team haven't having been playing well lately. We'd sewn the win up by an hour played.

Attendance tonight was 3, 217 which is THE LOWEST ATTENDANCE OF THE SEASON.

I hope what you missed tonight will have encouraged you to keep going to matches now. The lads need your support at difficult times like these and you miss games like that if you continue to do so - T
That attendance makes us look just as bad as Darlo. Let's please not turn into that tinpot of a club.

KEEP THE FAITH. UP THE POOL.

THANK YOU.

From everything I gather we had far from sewn up anything after an hour.

Regardless, I'm gutted I couldn't make it tonight, but relieved that we always win when I can't go (other game was Tranmere, midweek games are too difficult for me in current climate).

Happy days though. And may hold off the non-believers for a bit longer. I'm a bit tired of the Wilson Out brigade

cue the insults

Kentish you seem to have a chip on his shoulder about this.

Some people have other things to do, other things going on in their lives. Football takes a back seat when it starts costing more to watch people earning much more than me pissing and moaning about on a fooking field than it does to feed my family for a week. A bit of passion from them then I'll contribute to their inflated pay packets.

in the end, the lads at work said to me they would watch my job until after the match, so I ended up going - after all I'd already paid via my season ticket - and I have to say anyone who thought the game was "sewn up" can't have watched it!!!
They always had a goal threat (as did Pools) and if we had made it 4-1 (which we had the chances to do) then we could say it was sewn up!! However Pools never do it the easy way, and the miss by their player at the end was a huge let-off. If that goes in and it ends 4-4, then the season is wrecked. What do you say to players who are desperate for a win, and are 4-2 up going into injury time, but then only end up with a draw? The confidence would never recover, that's how vital it was to win this match.
Happy with the three points, but I shudder to think how many goals Doncaster will get past our defence, this is the shakiest Pools defence for a long, long time.

The defence needs sorting, its not every game we're going to score 4 goals and as Parmo said, every game now we look like conceding and we cant rely on Brown and Joel to get us out of mire.

Nothing has changed. We are still letting them in like a two bob whore. Last night we were lucky out forwards were on fire.

The last time I read something like this, it had a picture of Lord Kitchener above it saying .... 'Your country needs you...to come to France and be machine gunned in your thousands etc,etc....' this sort of 'appeal' went out of fashion 90 years ago.

I'll have you know I went to the Leeds game, you know.

I got up at 6am in the dead of night to travel 4 1/2 hours on Boxing Day from Banbury to Hartlepool, but did I moan after having to travel the 4/2 hours back after only getting a point when we should have murdered Leeds, NO I DIDN'T !

WHY ?

Because I enjoyed the fact that I could up to see my football team play the Mighty Leeds United, Don Revie an' all that, all that at little, more re-elections than Thatcher, but most importantly, my beloved Hartlepool.

We're HARTLEPOOLUNITED FOOTBALL CLUB. Lets be a little bit more united for the sake of the lads.

4000 people were completely 'united' on Friday night, we all every man, woman, and child agreed how fooking shite it was.

You went to our most high profile league game for years, it's a real shame Goughy's sports shop has closed down I could have got your medal engraved- Mr Shouty- Pools best fan EVER

You do my head in and I don't even know who you are rolfl

While you were thinking this up for the fans, how about one for the team, whose performance on Friday night no doubt contributed to the piss poor gate...

It goes something like this......

'Unless you had some good excuse, some really, really good excuse, you really pissed evryone off tonight by turning up and playing football of the crappest nature.

THAT PERFORMANCE WAS THE WORST FOR A LONG TIME.

I hope you learned a lesson tonight and this will have encouraged you to get your collective fingers out as the fans need a 'team' that at difficult times like these is gonna make an effort.

TRY PLAYING FOOTBALL, IT WOULD HELP

Thanks for nowt!

Look, I know it's difficult at the moment and I certainly agree that maybe some motivational exercise or team-bonding needs to be carried out so that they get a fircracker up their butt or something...

...But can I remind you all that we are in a better position now as a club then when we were 10 years ago.
I also found that our second play-off season, we beat York 1 -0 in front of an attendance smaller than ten years ago - the times looked bad then but what we didn't know was that in fact come the end of the season we had managed to get another play-off place.

ALWAYS LOOK UP. 8 YEARS LATER AND WE ARE STILL ONLY 10 POINTS OF A PLAY -OFF PLACE FOR A TRIP TO WEMBLEY AND PROMOTION TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 19 GAMES TO GO.

WE COULD EVEN STILL WIN THE TITLE AND I'M NOT SCARED TO SAY THAT AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALWAYS LOOK FOOKING UP, BECAUSE IF YOU NEVER LOOK FOOKING UP, YOU WILL NEVER GO FOOKING UP !

I shouldn't eat my tea, while reading posts, I've just had to wipe a mix of basmati rice and chicken curry off, after reading that.

You're damn right I'm an optimist Billingham.

That's what you need if you want to avoid the Blue Square Premier.

To be big, you've got to think big, but be slow and steady in waiting for it to come about.

I believe in slow and steady. I've been waiting 44 years for the success to come.
