But that's an interesting point.....there was certainly evidence at the time that Cooper was a bit of a bully. Supporters all thought he was great but I'd be surprised if the team did. And I remember when Wilson first arrived Michael Barron saying that it was good to have someone who discussed things rationally instead of bellowing (or words to that effect). I don't think so meself. Obviously the manager would have to say something if things were below par...but I think shouting and ranting would just defeat the object and demoralise people.

The hairdrier treatment doesn't seem to do Man U players any harm. What do they want the boss to do? Go round and give them all a big hug?

I got the impression that at the time he was on about Barry Chuckle if you think of the incident that led to his dismissal after the Blackpool game. Having a do with one of your starting eleven can hardly be considered 'discussing things rationally ' :laugh:

I think Cooper was a bit unorthodox, one story I heard from a mate recently made me laugh. Apparently after a shite performance he called them in for training on a Sunday morning. Bearing in mind it's a bit of a drive into training for a few of the players and they had to be up early on Sunday for work all he did when they got in was gathered them and said "right you've ruined my weekend so I thought I'd try and ruin yours... f**K off" and sent them on there way!!

I thought that was quality rolfl

Anywhere where the decisions are made by a committee is heading for the rocks. If the players came out at half time white as a sheet, it was probably because they deserved it :wink:
