I was impressed by Cheltenham. Undoubtedly we made them look good but they still played some good football and worked their socks off in the first half.
Especially good were Brooker, Russell (both on loan) and Gillespie (free transfer from Liverpool). sadx

Second half they were bobbins though and we had enough chances to get something out of the game.

Not for the first time this season, if the strikeforce had been changed sooner then we would probably have got a point regardless of how well it was deserved.

The three players mentioned were very good, which came as no surprise at all in the case of Brooker in particular. But I don't agree that Cheltenham were good; I thought they were pretty poor throughout. The first half was just one-dimensional punts to strikers who weren't even especially quick. It should have been dealt with by the defence without any problem. That's what made it so bad. I could have dealt with being embarrassed by a side playing exceptionally well. Chelts did not have to.

Agreed. The majority of their chances were created through awful defending, not by free flowing attractive football.

If Cheltenham had been any good they would have been five up inside half an hour.

I dread to think what a decent side would have done to us. They have made improvements with the loan signings though, Brooker and Russell and proven performers at this level I think we need a similar injection.
