just Dibble's black boxes got me thinking...I don';t think I drink a lot but rarely have a night off [maybe 1or2 a month]

anyways
Mon: pool night. usually 3 pints and a GnT when I get in
Tues: 3 gins approx
Wed: band practise. 2 cans a GnT or two when I get in
Thurs: 3 gins approx
Fri: depends if i go out/have a gig or stop in.... out-loads, gig-nowt if I'm driving, in-5or6 gins/wine
Sat: if theres a match 2 pints, 4or5 gins/wine
Sun: mebbe a night off...mebbe coupla gins

I like a drink cos its relaxing, I've tried to be honest...do you's think thats too much?

I believe in the body needing recovery time.

Unless Pools are at home in midweek then I'll have a drink before and after (and usually during) the match.

Apart from that I'll normally have about 6 or 8 lagers and a few large spirits on a Friday.

8 or 10 lagers on a Saturday afternoon if Pools are at home plus a hip flask of whisky or JD.

On a Saturday night (regardless of whether Pools have had a home game or not) I'll have either a dozen or so lagers and a few Jack Daniels or Gins, or I might replace some of the lager with a couple of bottles of wine.

On a Sunday I'll usually have a couple of beers and a couple of bottles of wine.

But I couldn't even contemplate not drinking on a weekend.

One to two glasses of wine most nights. Ermm... thats it. Hardly ever drink beer. Even when I go to the match I drink lager shandy.

Mind, the morning after the CD release party I did notice that Moist Boy and the phantom pop star smelt noticeably of alcohol and cheap scent at breakfast in the Grand Hotel.

My take on it was that one wanted shagging and the other one had chucked his pink gin over the predatory homosexual.

Even though all them bewers from Asda were gagging for it. Obviously I had them all in the Grand Hotel Love Suite.

I only drink Friday to Sunday, never drink in the house during the week.

I dont see the point really, I dont understand why anyone would have 1 or 2 cans a night if your not planing on getting drunk.

Nothing wrong with a tipple no I just tend to find it pointless, maybe I have a lot to learn.

I have a very strict rule. I never vary from it and you can all learn from it. I won't even charge you if you adopt it, because I think it's very, very important for your personal, social and professional lives. It's a rule that will make sure that you never drink irresponsibly in line with the Governments very expensive advertising campaign, in the wake of 24 hour licensing, their softening of stance on cannabis, 24 hour garages with shops, (and the late realisation that binge drinking has been going on since mediaeval times), that we all have paid for. I rarely have a night off totally booze free. I'm on nights this week so that'll give me liver a rest.In my job we get drug and alcohol tested so that gives me an incentive to leave it alone.
And we drink mostly in the house cos its a pain getting babysitters and the booze is cheaper.
red wine is the drug of choice in the main ,couple of glasses in midweek if I'm not on earlies then I'll Knack a couple of bottles when I'm off.

A case of 20 0r 24 cans of stella usually lasts 5-6 days ... plus 2-3pint swift ones after work twice a week also.... What would you class this sort of drinking ? Could i class this as moderate drinking ?

Don`t really drink Monday to Thursday unless on holiday.

Can drink over a weekend depending on how i feel or how Pools have done 3 - 4 bottles of wine plus a skinfull round the club.

I can't remember the last time that I was totally rat arsed, I know my limits and stop when I reach them. I don't get those that drink and drink and drink until they throw up, they may as well throw their money down the drain instead, just a different way of wasting their money.

I usually only drink beer, rarely I will have some lager, I can't get away with spirits though and it tends to be only weekends, I am up early on work days and have to leave around 6am so it is not worth the risk.

In my fridge at the minute I have cans of Worthingtons, Tetleys and some bottles of Circlemaster, proper beer

I haven't had one drop of alcohol since 4am New Years Eve morning.

I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would but last Saturday at the match was a real tester.

I'll be making up for it in the first weekend of February though.
