the top six are Swansea, Forest, Carlisle, Doncaster, Walsall, Leeds.
Only Carlisle are looking fragile amongst that lot, they have only won once in something like their last five games (I wonder who that was against)?
I think Leyton Orient will end up mid-table, they weren't that impressive against us and they got found out big-style today.
I think one, maybe two of that top six will drop out, but there are better bets than Pools to get those spots, such as Oldham (who I think will get there), Tranmere, Yeovil, Southend and Brighton.
It is pie in the sky to think Pools will finish above any of the current top six, plus all of those others I mentioned.
The aim has to be safety, which, when you look at the table, is far from looking comfortable at this moment in time.
Cheltenham pulled off a great win again at home, we must not lose to them next week or else the effects of a result like that could have serious consequences for Pools' season.
If we win next week, I will be a lot happier, as it would make today's result a good one. Anything other than a win against Chelts, and this week's result becomes a bad one!!!!!

Just got back from the match.
There's something not right with Barker like, he's either not fit, not interested or the most immobile forward I've ever seen playing professional football!
I'm not a fan of Porter but he did look quite lively when he came on, as did Matty Robson who played well in the time that he got.
Both teams were pretty poor to be honest, although the 2nd half was better than the first, a point is probably a fair return and after our away form of late I'm quite happy with it.

Take the blinkers off Parmo, Carlisle beat Port Vale after us.

Carlisle 3-2 Port Vale 05-01-2008

Thats two wins in five, three in six if you include the game before, four in eight the if you include another two games.

not positive enough kev even i could play footy for five minutes at a reasonable level knowing i was coming off
for a rest joel should get more that five minutes what is the point at that stage he played 85 minutes on wednesday and looked good after a couple of early knocks
if we can see barker is not working then all i can presume is the wilson will play him without even looking at whether he is performing or not
still glad of a point but the odd point here or there will get us relegated

we need a couple of three pointers on the road, but who will we beat? Two years ago we won our last away game at the end of November/beginning of December (Bradford). We went on an awful away run, and couldn't get out of it. I sincerely hope 3 points is around the corner on our travels, because otherwise the home form is going to have to be pretty spectacular from now on to keep our heads above water!!!
