Highly unlikely that it's going to happen, especially today.

As I understand it the deadline for lodging bids to buy the club is at 5pm today but even if that isn't met by anybody then I believe it could be extended whilst the administrators sell off any assets to keep the club running for a few more weeks.

I personally hope that they don't go bust, it would be a shame.

Why would it be a shame? Gross financial mismanagement.

It'd be a shame cos I know a Luton fan and I would reckon he'd be as upset about it as I would be if Pools were to go tits up.

No doubt Adam (it that's who you mean) will be gutted (was talking to him on New Years day as we fuelled up), but that's no reason for them not to go bust!

It would be a shame for those who have supported the club and a shame for those who will lose employment from the club, it will be a shame because the current people in charge of the finances will probably end up somewhere else doing something similar without detriment to themselves.

Anyone remember pre Mr Hornsey?

If he's banging on about the Liverpool result tonight then I might change my mind.

Yeah, who signed contracts in good faith, they have kept their side of the bargain and worked for the club, whilst the people with the purse strings have well and truly screwed it all up.

It's happening all too often these days, its only a matter of time before a buyer doesn't step forward to save one of these clubs. I don't think it will be Luton though.

More likely to be darlow in the summer if they don't get promoted.

I've posted train tickets off to my mate from Luton who's coming for the game in February. If they went pop, he wouldn't turn up obviously - and I don't think I would want the money back for the train tickets .
What will happen, is that they'll get taken over and become resurgent, including beating Pools on Feb 3rd!!!

Sanctions like this go against the zero-sum principle to which all head-to-head sports are subject. You can't just destroy points. They should not deduct 10 points without giving them back. And hell, why not to Pools?

It's becoming obvious that when points get deducted, the old fighting spirit kicks in, if the evidence is anything to go by ....... any chance of us losing a few...?
