Unless we're really in schuck through injuries then surely they are a bad thing. We've got a big squad and these temporary players are keeping better players out of the team. I'm now convinced that we've signed Antwi on condition he plays a percentage of the games he's available for. Why else would this long streak of piss keep Ben Clark out of the team. Nolan seems decent but he's keeping permanent players on the bench and in the reserves.

There's the unseen effect too; how demotivating must it be to see these guys turning up and going straight into the first eleven despite players other doing their best in the reserves to get a place.

By the way, in my opinion the two major factors that has destroyed our defence is the departure of Dimi and the refusal to play Clark and Nelson consistantly. Two players that compliment each other rather than the Nelson/Collins non partnership Mk 2 that we currently get.

We dont seem to make decent loan signings anymore. Ok, that may seem a slight exagguration as Duffy was obviously decent. But how long has it been since we had a loan signing that we all wanted to make permanent. Is our scouting system sh*** or something?
