Someone will always have a bigger better newer church, but out of all the grounds on the video, how many of the clubs still play on the earth that they were established on

That makes the Vic our sacred home, and the only place I'd want to worship!!!

Tom, bear in mind that half the clubs on the video are big premiership/championship clubs. It's hardly a shock that the Vic does not compare well with St James'.

But the other point that needs to be borne in mind is that you should have been around 15-20 years ago. You'd have looked out on a demolished stand on one side (now the Cyril Knowles), two delapidated sheds at either end, and approaches to the Mill House which were more treacherous than an SAS assault course. IOR deserve plenty of praise for improving the ground to its current level. They've put in plenty of investment to an extent that the Vic is clean and tidy, but not to the ridiculous and wasteful extent as delivered by Mr Reynolds.

It is also arguable that we actually have the best pitch of the lot.

And it's home sweet home and not some new tin shed by numbers.

Every other club had images of their old grounds
