We were awful today. No shape, no balls to feet - what is the point of playing Moore and Mackay and then lumping the ball forward against a big and physical Swindon side? The only saving grace was that Swindon were worse than us in the first half and three points were there for the taking. I didn't see exactly see what happened in the scramble for our goal from a right side free kick.

In the second half they improved and we got worse. We got caught out when an attack down our left broke down and their right back overlapped and they scored a good break away goal. Then Nelson gave away apenalty which was put away to the right of Butz. Clear pen - silly trip.

Very few positives today. Butz was competent in goal and made a good save from Peacock. Nolan looked solid. The midfield was pretty annonymous Liddle the pick of the bunch. Brown was very quiet but then rarely had the ball at his feet. Ellliot was the worst player on the pitch - the number of balls he wasted with punts up the field was astonishing and was always dodgy when they attacked down their right. Nelson was poor - no domination as in days of old. Antwi's pace saved us on a few occassions - but why does he let the ball bounce in and around the area? Humphreys, Boland, strikers ok ish.

A very disappointing day.

Is it just me or does Boland and Liddle not seem right together? I prefer Liddle and Sweeney with Liddle in the holding role.

We certainly looked a little more positive when Sweeney came on for Boland.

boland has been poor for the majority of the season imho.

Cant disagree with that compared to his performances last year, i feel Sweeney and Liddle look much better and we are more attack minded with thses two playing together.
I cant see the point playing to defensive midfielders if we playing a long ball game sadx .

By the time Sweens came on we were pushing for an equaliser so they were both pushing on a bit.

Well if you take away penalties and all that shite it must have been Rochdale. If you want a pure 1-1 tho' it'll have to be Darlo. Some of these defeats would have been nicer as 0-0s I must admit.
