He's said that he's definitely not going to be the next England Manager.

I don't think he ever had any intention of taking it, I bet he's managed to bump up his wage at his new club by 20% by talking to England.

I don't blame him, regardless of the money its not a very attractive job in comparison to the others he has been touted for.

It would have been nice but wishful thinking really.

Capello is top of the list it seems, mainly because he has won championships with Real Madrid and AC Milan.

Here's a question: Name me a manager of either of those two clubs who has not won a trophy. It's friggin impossible not to win something at either club with the players and resources at your disposal.

Bernd Scushter. Too easy!

I take your point but he is still a great manager and would be a fine appointment.

Better than MacLaren was for sure but unfortunately not better appointment than Martin O'Neill would be.

I'm going to be controversial and say it could be a blessing in disguise. I never enjoyed watching Chelsea under Mourinho; laborious, workmanlike performances that eked out results and relied more on sheer persistence than good football. He got by on the fact he had the money to spend so he could buy the best type of players for that sort of game. For England, he gets what he's given.

So what, John Barnes fooked em right over, signing loads of past it dogshite

Marin O' Neills track record is second to non, given the teams he managed in the UK, kept the foxes in the premiership for ages, got Wycombe into the league, he won't take the job because the FA turned him down for that Ginga tosspot and I for wouldn't blame him if he sent a fresh dog turd every day in the post to 'Brains' Barwick

Capello is a better option than O'Neil in my opinion. At least he seems to want the job and his track record is decent........

As long as we dont give it to a 'passionate' Brit, or a Brit who gets a team to 10th in the league every now and then, I'll be happy

cappello always my number one pick - and he turned madrid round after a succession of failed managers. He plays safety first football that get's results. That'll do me nicely seeing as I never go to an Engalnd match. And he is not bigger than the team unlike the chosen one. Oh, and I hate John Terry - captain, not in my book. Nowhere near as good a centre half as Rio who is without doubt the top man (Woody would have been better had he stayed fit mindst)/. Terry and Jose would be too much to bear.

It doesn't matter who Manages England....with the Squad we've got now we have no chance of winning anything!!!! confised

Get rid of the overpaid tossers and get some players in who would be proud to wear the shirt and not just go through the motions!!!! :sweeeet:

Klinsmann has one thing going for him no other candidate has. It shouldn't take a genius to come up with the answer.
