Gotta agree with this. The problem with Rivals was that you were not permitted to criticise the players/manager/club. As soon as you did you got slated for it. It was for this reason I stopped using it and gladly swapped over to the bunker.These new people who have recently joined this forum (presumably from Rivals) are going to turn this board into another rivals, it is going that way already, i.e childish slagging matches because some people question the club and its players right now. These people will turn round at the end of the season when we are either relegated or survive by the skin of our teeth and say that it was the negativity and bad luck which caused us to have a bad season and not the players/manager.

I don't think anyone plays badly delibrately do they, although one of this boards favourites suddenly improved dramatically after Scotty was sacked, I'd have thought you pull your puddings out in every game whether you get on with the manager or not!
Every player seems to say that an excellent team spirit is what has carried us through season after season barring Scottys disaster when he ruined the same said team spirit.

gents,you seem to saying that the only valid opinion is one which takes a negative slant on DW and the present situation.
Looking at where we're at ,we have 24 points from 19 games and are 12th.I'd have probably taken that before the season.we are at a critical point though,the next 2 games are critical,both are games we can win and probably must win cos then we have the top 3 sides in the division and I can't see us getting anything from those games.
I'll still back DW up till that point but where we are at 5 o clock on new years day will make my mind up until then my glass is still half full.

The bunker has around 10-12+/- regulars (Mr I, ADG, Ripper, Snowy etc) who all back each other up most of the time or keep quiet when you know one of your clique are indeed wrong. This is unfortunate for yourselves since it portrays yourselves as some of the most negative Pools fans that this club has. Maybe its keyboard-warrioring I am not sure.

I do hear the odd grumbles when I go to the vic, talk to Poolie friends or travel to away matches but I can honestly say I have not heard such negativity that I see posted on this site.




Not sure about jock etc but I registered to portray a view. One that is not negative. One that hopefully shows that the majority of Pools fans are not negative, arrogant and unconstructive as are the clique of this board.

I am not saying this out of spite, I am a neutral. I have never posted or registered at rivals.net. I am a Poolie like the rest of you, have been all my life and always will be. I just want the best for my club.

bosh nobody is forced to post on here. if you dont like it then dont come on here. it really is as simple as that.

this board is not, and never has been while i have been on here, about negativity. in a recent poll only a small minority voted to say they would sack wilson given the choice.

there is a fundamental argument at the moment between those who think danny wilson is doing a great job and those who dont. you suggest that there is a clique on here and mention names, but i could just as easily suggest that you, austins dad, jock, misterb and proud poolie are a clique, simply because you share a viewpoint and have all arrived here at the same time.

regardless of what you might think, almost all of the posters on here want " whats best for the club", but you dont have a monopoly on determining how this should be displayed.

i have no allegiances on this board. i knew only 2 other posters ( gremmlin and hawklord ) when i joined, and have met a few others since then. i dont consider myself part of any clique or gang. i have written for just about every edition of the fanzine for 8 or 9 years now, and always try to give a balanced viewpoint. when its good i say its good and i do the same when its bad.

i think wilson is making a pigs ear of the season thus far and have explained the reasons why. i consider my criticism to be constructive. those that have come on here and accused me and others of negativity, have given almost no persuasive argument to counter that.

some of the people you accuse of negativity e.g. snowy and adg have been wilsons fiercest defenders in the past so its not like they have any axe to grind.

if you think the football pools have served up this season is worthy of praise, then fair enough, you are entitled to an opinion, but stop bleating like a child every time someone takes an opposite view. its a message board ffs. if you want a 100 per cent pro pools viewpoint read the official website.

i have been called every name under the sun on here, its just words. i can categorically assure you if you come into the millhouse before any home game and there are bunker posters in there you will make new friends irrespective of who you have had a disagreement with on here.
