may well install it on the laptop when it comes back on tuesday cos 2007 was a bit 'tiresome'

It's good if you have Works Home Edition that doesn't include Power Point. Open Office includes a Powerpoint clone which as far as I can gather does everything that Powerpoint does.

There's two computers in the frodraff household one with XP and the other with the tempremental Vista and Open Office is working fine on them both.

My only worry is how long will Microsoft allow this to happen as Microsoft Office and Open Office seem completely compatible amd interchangeable and I wouldn't imagine that Bill Gates would be too happy about that.

Oh yeah. It's a free down load which is easy as well........too good to be true really.
