Fook me they only had 400 at home on Saturday even 'Blue Order' might take these in a bit of toe to toe with or without ob presence.

You often find I think when you go to non league ground in the FA Cup that the locals try and make it a bit intimidating for you these days it's the only time they see a proper footy crowd. People tend to get swept away with images of Ronnie Radcliffe and a ground packed with rosey cheeked optimists sporting rosettes and cardboard cutouts of the cup. You're more likely to bump into some Burberry clad youths than a whippet in Gainsborough Trinity colours on Sunday such is the magic these days of the FA Cup

Anyhow, this bloke says that we have to basically watch our backs down there on Sunday, as they have a serious hooligan element who have caused trouble already this season

I dunno if they are "Give Order" types who only "Dance" with those who "Understand" or what?

Can't believe it, can you? sctatchinghead

Nah, that was donkeys ago. Their big local derby is Worksop Town and I've been a few times. They types you get at these things are the tools on banning orders so there is maybe a few keen for a bit of a go but I mean really a handful. The worst I've seen was a early round cup tie against Kings Lynn at Worksop where a thrown bag of chips and a load of shouting were the pinnacle of the mindless violence.

The only chew I reckon may come from over-zealous policing. Something like when we played at Cheltenham the first year they played in the league.

I can think of one or two former leading lights who are on this board. Not now of course, they're too old and fat.

I think I've encountered this "frontline" of yours at Ayresome Park in the late 60s.

The "Football League" were playing [some other country's league] and there was a considerable queue to get into whatever the end opposite the hospital was called.
Two gadgies of indeterminate age arrived, who could well have been brothers maybe even twins, and they were the biggest baddest ass fookers you ever saw in the whole of your goddam life and longer still. They were a fair bit taller than me and about three times my girth. Imagine a double-decker ECG and you're only just beginning to get an idea how big they were.
Anyway they walked straight to the front of the queue and do you know what? There wasn't one person among the whole of the lily-livered yellow-bellied scaredy-cat queue who was prepared to challenge their manners.

P.S., when did those "Football League" internationals bite the dust? They were a bit of a misnomer weren't they because the FL team only had English players in it, making it a kind of England "A" team.

P.P.S., we won 1-0 thanks to a Keith Newton piledriver.
