When about 5 lads held a sit down protest in the centre circle back in the 80's?

And can anyone name them?

It is Jock Dowd, my uncle, he’s often claimed that he was one of the protesters on the pitch that day, although he was never 100% sure due to being very drunk at the time.

However, I do recall him arriving back from the match at York , with what appeared to be the centre spot on the arse of his jeans. sctatchinghead

Who was the lad who drop kicked the copper in the centre circle. I think his brother was being beaten up by said copper and his mate. I was on leave and went to the game. I was pleased to get back to war for a quieter time.

I thought it happened during a game against Mansfield, it may have been the miners strike at the time.

I think the lad's surname was Kenny

I think you’re right Katcha.

Michael and Robert were the brothers.

I remember that kick. Everyone seen him running from behind the goal except the police.
The crowd shouting "gooo oooonnnnn" in amusement as he got nearer and nearer.
Most people not expecting him to do anything like what was coming up.
The police realising just a second before, turning round.
And then he jumps up in the air like hong kong phooey versus david carradine and karate kicks the copper over.
Followed by the pitch invasions.
