The premiership players are doing too many shifts according to gordon Taylor, the PFA chairman.

Lets see then........ £120'000 a week to play on average a game and a half. Thats 135 minutes or just under a grand a minute.

He's right they are really hard done too,

The time has come for a wage cap.The amount of money being earned in relation to what they actually do, is beyond comprehension.

£5,000 a week would still be too much.

I have no time for Gordon Taylor. I appreciate that the man has a specific job to do but how can you possibly justify sitcking up for the likes of Cantona when he did that kung-fu kick or Roy Keane when he deliberately tried to end Alf Inge Haalands career. That sort of shit needs addressing, not their wages (which they get way too much of anyway)

Gary Neville can f-off too, and when he gets there, he can f-off again. Ideas WAY above his station that one.

(I realise that i've used Man Utd players here. Purely co-incidental. I do hate them though!)

I had to laugh last week when a certain Premiership player was on a TV programme that involved him having to use a bike... nothing special justa bog standard bike on a bog standard ride... he said he was 'exhausted' afterwards  ... hang about, aren't they supposed to be fit, hard training professional athletes....?

If you think Premiership players are paid more than they're worth don't buy Sky and don't go to Premiership games.

There's millions of people around the world who disagree and buy a look at the Premiership which is where all that dosh comes from.

They are paid more then they're worth.... I don't 'buy' Sky and would nevergo to and have never been to a Premiership match in my life..... and if there's millions of people around the world who worship at the altar of the Premiership..... bigger fools them.

Exactly!

There's f**k all else on on a Sunday afternoon though!

I'm one of the Premier Leagues biggest critics but it is hard to avoid it.

Arsenal are a joy to watch at the moment too. If Pools don't finish in the top 5, I'm gonna get a season ticket for the Emirates.

I pay for Sky, I enjoy watching football, if that makes me a fool, then so be it.

Guess so, I've got the personalised number plate as well remember, it's a good job I don't support one of the 'big' three, or I'd even started hating myself, thems the rules. sctatchinghead

Exactly, like I say, Sunday afternoons at a push. Otherwise, it's hardly on anyway.

I have Sky but I wouldn't pay the extra for Setanta. I can get those games on my PC anyway

I have to agree on Gordon Taylor, OK as Union Chief he has to support his members but the way he does it (frequently refusing to admit that any player may have ever done anything out of order when interviewed) does him few favours. It's noticable that whenever he's on 5 Live, there's inevitably a lot of texts flowing into them shortly after attacking the way he's put the players point of view. I don't like him at all.

Compare this to Graham Kelly, who (having read his book Sweet FA) I have really warmed to in recent years as someone that's actually interested in the game at every level and a decent bloke....

I see Sky are threatening to take Jeff Stelling's football Saturday off Freeview. Sort of puts the BBC into perspective

No, it's still on the digibox but they were talking about some sort of arrangement with the other Freeview providers and if Sky doesn't get it's way they're taking their ball home.
