We have very little attacking threat from the middle of the pitch. It would be daft to let Sweeney go. I want to see him start a few games.

Now Boland is suspended Sweeney should get a chance.

I think the lack of attacking threat through the middle is partially because Wilson picks the wrong team most of the time. in recent weeks the midfield has become squashed due to playing right footed players on the left.

just why do managers do that

I am sure someone (possibly yourself MJ) has done something similar with Mickey Barron starting.

We once did the same thing with Jon Daly and the result was quite surprising.
