For instance why did the Americans set us up for the Iranian train bombing?

Cos it's on the BBC.

And half of that programme last night was a veiled dig at the Government's foreign policy and their close ties with the Yanks whilst trying to convince people that the Yanks are only interested in themselves and nobody else.

I hate the BBC more than I hate the current Government.

Ripper....People don't need convincing that the Yanks are interested in themselves and no-one else, tho

MoD.. a good point. However I hate ITV more, because of the adverts and because they're always interrupting programmes to tell you what's on next, and because when a programme has finished and you want to think about it a bit, some twerp with a grin and an irritating voice interrupts to tell you something you don't want to know

You would moan in equal amounts if the BBC sided with the government as well

The Licence fee is a tax isnt it?

Of course it is.....

There is a reason why ITV is free as opposed to the massive £2.60 per week you pay now

But did you see Spooks, tho? Why did the Americans have to shadow Zaf's plane? Why could it not just be met at Heathrow? Have they got only the one agent?

But isnt there are principle here? I dont care if I never watched BBC TV again. So why do I have to pay for it?

And if Strictly Come Dancing is being paid for.....I hate the bounders even more.

All that culture for less than the price of a big mac

Yes. Actually I do. Talk Sport.

This is true, as I hate music radio.

Oh, and Talk Sport is free I believe. But I have to pay anyway......justy in case I listen to the BBC. stpid stpid stpid stpid

And whilst I am on........anyone bored?

Fancy doing a small experiment just to see how many minutes between each programme the BBC spends advertising itself?

No, not really, I quite like the BBC, having watched commercial TV in the UK & Europe and America

Be careful what you wish for ADG!

How can you say you like the BBC?

I have no problem with the BBC News programmes, or intelligent documentaries, but for fooks sake man......you willingly pay a licence fee for the BB Bastad C to give you Strictly Come Dancing, EastEnders, and other shite.

If ITV want to put on shite shows it isnt my problem. But when the BBC do it......well?

I like the BBC for News programmes, or intelligent documentaries, BBC 4, Radio 2, 4, 5 & 7
The sports coverage, which although not as comprehensive as SKY, still not bad for £2.60 a week

If people are soft enough to watch SCD, so be it, there are channels, both commercial and funded that they can watch

But surely the remit of a publicly funded television channel should be to provide informative and educational content?

Not to appeal to the lowest common denominator of brain dead garbage championing the egos and profiles of so-called celebrities?
