Anyway to the match today.

Minutes silence for Michael, perfectly observed, when the whistle blew at the end of the minute and the squad along the touchline of the Cyril side turned round to leave, I saw Matty Robson in absolute pieces!! I nearly cracked!

Then the lads have to play a game after such a terrible week.

Obviously they are going to be wound a little tight, the Brighton players of course knew this and used evry dirty tactic in the book, cynical fouls that went unpunished by a very weak referee!(That's not what I called him during the match).

Yes, Willie shouldn,t have lashed out, it was retaliation, to a couple of meaty challenges, but come on, hand bags!! The egg chasers must P**s themselves laughing when they see players rolling around like their lad reacted! What you needed from the ref in view of the occasion today is common sense Boland, should have been booked at best, like some others have mentioned.

Anyway, we battle well in the second half and we get a penalty, for DELIBERATE hand ball, by a defender who 5 mins earlier had just been booked for persistant fouling. The ref indicated that the player had flung out an arm and blocked the ball, now I may be wrong here but I thought deliberate had ball was a booking But ooooohh no, we can't be sending of a Brighton player can we

I won't even go into the disgraceful behaviour of the self same player to Richie Barker who was lying on the pitch devastated after they had snatched the late (undeserved) winner!!

Anyway fellow Poolies, I don't know about you lot but I am shattered, it's been emotional.

RIP Michael Maidens it was a pleasure seeing you play football.

But aiming a kick at someone is a red card offence, theres no middle ground.

I have never said they didnt cheat, they were the dirtiest team iv seen for a long time.

Sorry offshorepoolie but Boland aimed a kick at one of their players. Wether he went down like had been shot or what is irrelevant, even if he didn't make contact with their lad the intent was still there and he had to walk. A stupid thing to do to react in the way that he did but I would like to think he was simply just caught in the emotion of the day.

It happens every single game, your going on like its never ever happened before.

I suppose you could say it was good tactics by the Brighton manager whether you like it or not he knew that our team might not be fit mentally so he might have sent his team out to provoke us to get a reaction which is what they got. But it doesn't stop them being a team full of dirty bastads though.

at the game, when barker scored his goal as a mark of respect he took his armband off and kissed it, when brighton scored in 90th min barker dropped to the ground in no way to feign an injury jus dropped to the ground an looked gutted that we had been beaten, num 24 whoeva he was conme ova to barker an sed summet then took his own armband off an started kissing it in front of him replicating barkers celebrations after his goal

This is the player by the way who should have had the second yellow for DELIBERATE handball!!
