Salty has just called me and he's had a chat with MM's brother today. The possibility of a memorial trophy being created was one that was welcomed by the family, we've got a few hundred quid in the kitty which will grow and it seems wrong to give it all to a florist.

Of course we should send a floral tribute but a lasting tribute seems to be a better idea and in light of Saltys conversation with the family it seems the way to go.

Just as a ps to that, whatever is decided needs to be co-ordinated. The family, the club, the various message boards will all want to do something. Better in my opinion to have a common decision that lots of different tributes which would only serve to devalue.

just waiting on word from Michaels brothers, but initially his family seem thril led* by the idea of a trophy, or something like that in his name as a lasting testament to him.
