Anybody else reckon that Guy Fawkes had the right idea?

Parliament nowadays is run by "professional politicians" on both sides of the House- people who've never been in the real world and have spent their whole life wanting to be and working towards being a bullshtter of the highest order out to fleece the public at everey turn for their own ends.

At least in the past politics, both locally and nationally, was generally dominated by "real people" who'd been in the workplace and had normal lives and thus had more of an interest in looking out for the man in the street albeit with their own political slant.

Maybe the best thing to happen could be to blow the lot of them up and start again with "real people"?

as Snowy succinctly put it, it's a debating forum for graduates who've never been in the real world, where money is generated. They just think money appears from thin air and they want more from you.

its always good when they have someone not associated with the government on like jeremy clarkson who basically says what you are thinking and grills them by saying they are talking rubbish, i tried to get into the audience when it was on at the borough hall but sadly i guess they dont let riff raff folk like me in

Top Tip:

If you ever want tickets for Question Time, always put yourself down as a supporter of a minor party, the Greens etc.

They get tonnes of applications from Lab/tory people but very few from the fringes. You are almost guaranteed a ticket.

Have you noticed how the 'audience' seems to consist of bearded, trotskyite, real ale drinking, folk singing, poltical obsessives ...and that's just the women.

I know a few of our Bunker people have been to Question Time so am I right in saying that the questions are selected or given out at the door??

I know my brother-in-law was once on it when it was filmed in Sheffield and his question was vetted and almost as soon as he'd asked it they shot off at a tangent and never came back to him.

I gave up watching it when I realised that the so called audience represented no public opinion I have ever known....they all appear to be Open University Sociology types.
