Bridges' set for Australia

Hull City striker Michael Bridges is poised to turn his back on English football and move Down Under. Bridges is set to complete a loan move to Australian side Sydney FC with a view to making the deal permanent. The Aussie outfit are willing to pay him £5,000 a week until the end of the season.

He's a bit young to be going semi pro though isn't he? After Oz all that's left is Qatar and the MLS!

I wouldn't mind going semi-pro getting paid 250k a year to live in Australia rather than Hull, Carlisle or Hartlepool!

Basically an admission that he doesn't think he'll ever get back up to the higher echelons of proper footy again if he goes.

Not a bad second best though, being paid five thousand snots a week to live in Sydney!

I bet he's thinking, "I just can't be arsed with all this anymore, I'll foook off to Australia and do a bit of this".

Australian's with ambition come over here...(we know who we're talking about here). English people with no ambition go over there.

Edit: Who the foook changed foook?

Aye, but apparently he's always been a bit wrong in the head.

That got me thinking, surely making the move from the championship to the Oz league would be a 'Bridge' too far for some players, not Michael though!

Surely if you haul all the family over to another country (hopefully with a better paid job as well) and the quality of life is better then this must be seen as a sign of ambition. I thought ambition is wanting to better yourself sctatchinghead .

Good player Bridges (in this league anyway) but am glad to see he never came here. We currently have Brown, Barker, Porter, Moore and Mackay all in form and who can play upfront, another striker is not needed in my opinion.

Feel a bit sorry for Mackay, he is in form but got 3 or 4 strikers who also in top form keeping him out of the side. Maybe a months loan to league 2 would benefit him more at the moment?

Ah give over man...stop trying to confuse matters.

He has no ambition of playing football at the highest level (with us) then.
