Of course mate. The only thing I would ask is that you give me some ideas! I will endeavour to do a great job.

Obviously the logo will have to have some traditional connection if the party is devoted to protecting the town's heritage etc.

It will not be able to include Hangus or anything linked to hufc or the council logo.

Could a modern depiction of the hanging monkey work sctatchinghead Perhaps have it hanging from a mock gallows by its arm rather than its neck and the noose in its other hand as if to suggest 'survival' - may be suitable given the desire to protect Hartlepools heritage and hospital???

Predominent colour - Blue?

I am not sure blue would be the right colour given the towns labour pary allegiances. It also really wants to be independent of the football club. Although the party is being promoted from a like minded group of Pools fans, the club has no other relevance to it, it is to try and get an MP that will put the town first rather than the party line follower it has at present.

It's got to be a primary colour and red/blue/green/yellow are out. I'd be tempted to include a red cross somewhere in reference to the hospital and a stags head.

So are you lot throwing an MP forward then? Who's it going to be? Are you gonna do some pranks on Mr Wrong for publicity Fathers 4 Justice style or do you think that there is a serious chance of upsetting the applecart...?

We/Us

Yes there is a serious chance. Lets not forget that to start with we have a name that people know from the Poolie Pride CD and the whole point of that was a couple of local issues. Add to that there is a lot of dissatisfaction about the hospital and Browns Poolie poodle is just singing the party line.

We have plenty of skills around including a couple of experienced journos who will help on publicity. Why not? it can work.

I think the hospital has GOT to be the central theme. A community in a welfare state without medical services is an anomaly.

Therefore any logo/image maybe should have a medical theme?? The NHS is in a shit state and that's Labours fault, after 10 years. 12bn snodgers ((c)Mutley) on an IT system that hasn't even bleeped yet??

I totally agree with Pooliekev. It is the weak way in which he gave up the hospital fight that annoyed me. He was more concerned with his political career. Well the voters can show him he made the wrong option and curtail his political career and hopefully vote in someone who will put the town first.
