What do you reckon it'll be?

And what do you think it should be?

I would pick

GK Budtz (still doesn't fill me with confidence but seems to be getting better each game)
RB Coles
LB Humphreys
CB Nelson
CB Clark
RW Brown
LW Monkhouse
CM McCunnie
CM Liddle
CF Moore
CF Porter

But I think that DW will play Antwi instead of Clark and Barker instead of Porter.

Yep.

And rightly so.

If Antwi was brilliant it would be hard to argue anything other than playing him.

But he isn't, and Clark is better.

So it's weird.

if he doesn't start using Clark again soon, and Antwi ends up back at Liverpool next year anyway, Clark will go ring-rusty and he will need two or three months of a new season to get his match fitness back and to get used to playing first team footy again. Clark has played for England u-21's and played in the Premiership. I would rather see Antwi (preferably) dropped than keep Clark out of the side like this indefinitely. Alternatively, if McCunnie goes into midfield to replace Boland, then Clark has to go in at right back. The loan signing should not get in when Clark has bided his time so patiently, and also when he's perfectly suited to playing in this team as a major squad member for the past three years.

I wouldn't fancy seeing Clark at right back. I don't think that the position suits him.

I'd rather see Antwi put there with his extra pace and Clark put in at centre half.

I'd be happy with that.

But what makes you think it is going to be that?

The only concern would be whether Boland's fitness is up to another game so soon.

Going by today's Mail (yeah, I know) it sounds as if Coles will start tonight, but he will start alongside Nelson at centre-half in place of Antwi. The Mail also suggests that this short-term loan is in advance of Coles' permanent signing in January.

What this means for Ben Clark I don't know.

I got the impression yesterday from the official website that DW was hoping Coles to be a permanent signing.

But Hull have allegedly been after Nelson for a while... bbolt

As a defender Nelson does his job very well, but his passing out of defence is wayward about half the time. Although I think Nelse is the best "traditional" centre half at the club (takes no prisoners, great tackler and great header of the ball), Clark generally passes the ball around really well, and defends very well, and overall I think he's a slightly better all round player than Nelse. Just my opinion, like.

I think DW had a hit list of players who didn't figure in his plans,
namely Micky Barron, Ritchie, Ben and Joel

McCunnie came in to replace Barron
Elliott to replace Ritchie
Antwi to replace Ben
Moore to replace Joel

He's had to restore Ritchie, but won't seem to budge on Ben and Joel
The solitary success being McCunnie and now we may see him moved into midfield
at Sweeney's expense.

January and the end of this season could be interesting times

I've had a whisper that Monkhouse may have picked up a knock on Saturday. If Monky isn't going to make it and Antwi is going to be dropped it may mean Humphreys on the left wing, Coles left back with Clarky and Nelse at centre back.

If so, I hope Matty Robson plays.
