You are totally right (as always).

What about the 3-2 midweek game? Fitzpatrick scored, can't remember who else.

Think we played them NYD once too at home, Jon Bass had a stormer!

Correctomundo my Minion Mate. There was also another cracking match when we won 3-0 with Chris Freestone notching twice and Thomas Tennebo playing blinder, old pal o'mine.

God, you're great. Looked on Mad John's site, Fitzpatrick never scored (it was Shilton, why did I think it was LF?) and it wasn't NYD that we played them at all so I was totally wrong (opposites attract!).

When we beat them in 95, weren't they clear at the top and we were in the bottom 4?

Think the game at Victoria Pk, boxing day 1994 was quite entertaining.

Was that the year in which their on loan keeper sent Scarborough down with a 94th minute winner in the last game of the season

What was the game when the pitch was so frozen solid at Carlisle, I think it was JOE JOE JOE Allon who changed his boots to his trainers and played a blinder.

Also the game (Auto Shield I think) that kept getting called off due to bad weather,we even got to Carlisle to hear on the radio in the mini bus it had been cancelled for a second or third time.

sctatchinghead My memory aint what it used to be. violin

it was postponed three times, so Pools had the option of whether or not to stage the match at the Vic (but we would still be classed as the away side)!!!!
Anyway, a no brainer of a choice, but it backfired when they beat us 2-0 with Rob McKinnon getting their second goal. refred

That Boxing Day we were just setting off when we heard it was postponed, so we all went through to watch Gateshead v Blyth instead and had a cracking drunken afternoon out.

It was during that long 21-game unbeaten run, the one that we beat last season.

I watched every game of that run, so I was compelled to keep going until it finally ended (against Southend away).

That carlisle 2-3 away game is one of my favourite away games ever.

Fitzpatricks goal was class, he came on for Knowles and played a blinder.

the days of 3-5-2
