Nathan Ferguson

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Nathan Ferguson

Another free agent signed today. 29-year-old attacking midfielder. Looks like Campbell's replacement - odds on he'll be gone by the end of the week.

He has loads of experience in the NL. Last 3 seasons:

24/25 36 NL appearances, 0 goals, 8 assists for Maidenhead
23/24 38 NL appearances, 3 goals, 1 assist for Wealdstone
22/23 39 NL appearances, 5 goals, 0 assists for Wealdstone.

He's also a Guyana international. Him and Vadaine Oliver look like solid squad players more than anything else. Wonder how long their contracts are for?

So there hasn't been a "sitting on hands" situation at the club or by SG. This guy has been training with the club and SG must have bee impressed by his attitude etc to offer him a deal.
!1 days after the window closed he has done exactly what he said he was going to do and, who knows, there could still be more as he hasn't used the loan market much yet.
Now shall we give these new guys a chance and strengthen our backing of the manager.

From the mighty Maidenhead

Wealdstone fan said.

Nathan Ferguson’s agent plays another blinder as he signs for Hartlepool. Every now and then he has a decent game but overall languid if you are being kind or lazy otherwise.
He’s a midfielder that has the physical attributes and a decent range of passing, but can’t be arsed to run most of the time.

Maidenhead fan said.

This was exactly what he was like at Maidenhead last season. He'd run the midfield in a game around once a month and would do nothing the rest of the time. Having him start every game when fit was a major factor in us going down last year.

Lets hope they are wrong.

There's nothing we've seen so far of the team Grayson has put together that suggests he'd have any time for a lazy player.

Without a club and in need of a contract, I would guess he'd be working his socks off in training to impress the boss. Lets hope this continues now he is on the payroll. I'm hoping for the best.

Oh dear another one who worries me . Doesn’t seem like a Grayson player but can’t complain about most of his signings so far so going to reserve judgement

Massive gamble signing.
For me it's about having our players in there natural positions.

Hopefully not to many injuries for the rest of the season for this to happen.

UTP.

They both have ability, seems to be inconsistency is more of an issue. You'd think Grayson wouldn't take them on board if he didn't think he couldn't get anything out of them.
Was reading a Southend supporters opinion of Ferguson and said with his ability he should be playing at a higher level.
I don't think there's much point moaning about it, just trust in Grayson to pull a rabbit out of the bag.

Pools haven't gpt the money to compete with FGR, York and Carlisle, who are all supposed to be in for Conn-Clarke. Realistically Pools are in the hunt for a play-off spot, not the NL title like those three.

I suspect the players in question are players Grayson thinks he can mould, he’s not the sort of bloke to tolerate no hopers.
I never take random comments from fans of former clubs too seriously….for obvious reasons, it’s like them discussing a former girlfriend who’s let you down…some folk are bit immature in these matters.
It’s what he does….. he’s a terrier.

Our owner has plenty of Dosh to match them, But probably being realistic.

The owner of FGR is worth £100 million, I doubt very much our owner is worth anywhere near that amount!!!
