Same difference in fact. I had BBC Radio Tees on for the drive over to the game. The gist of what they said was that Raj had written to them objecting to 'inaccurate reporting' about the takeover, they had invited him 'more than once' to come on and give his side of things but so far he hadn't taken the opportunity. Rob Law was only doing his job, as responsible broadcasters they couldn't accept him being banned and so they wouldn't be doing live commentary on HUFC home games till this was resolved.
This was around 2.30 this afternoon - I imagine there's a way to listen back if you want to.
So, either our glorious chairman avails himself of the chance to go and be interviewed or he'll be depriving Pools fans who can't get to the game of a very valuable service for the foreseeble future. An easy choice for anyone who really cares about the football club and its fans.
Bet he was the sort of kid who wouldn't let anyone else play with his toys. I know I was

No wonder 1000 fans couldn't be arsed to turn up yesterday. Imagine in the middle of winter if we start struggling and weather's rubbish, crowds be dreadful. Sign a couple of decent loanees back down from the dummy spitting, get on the radio answer questions that aren't rigged and who knows he might win back a few.

Think you're ignoring how few were in the away end. Braintree had barely 20 fans in yesterday. The Southend gate of 4,452 on the first day of last seson was exceptional - it wasn't bettered till we hosted Oldham on New Year's Day.
Can't remember how many Southend brought to the Rink End but it was rocking - they'd just been taken over. Their average home gate last season was over 7,300.

if radio tees values the service of rob law they should stand by him and not send someone else.

I agree, as much as I miss listtening to he game, the BBC should back Rob here and not back down to him. Raj has now alienated most if not all exiles over nothing. A story that had gone by and mostly forgotten about. He and the club are a living PR disaster

Would that mean if the BBC lose, Rob Law should pick up the cost and not us licence fee payers.

Think they brought 300 the year before didn't we have 5100 for gateshead?

Yes, and they pretty much filles the Rink End - like they did last season. I commented then that there were almost as many in as they get for home games. Ridiculous having the local deby on the opening day of the season. Only in the comedy NL.
Mikey76 wrote:Talk of High Courts and expensive barristers - is this not just a case of Raj being annoyed and using threats? Personally, I’d be surprised if it escalates that far. The ‘incident’ with Rob Law seems entirely because he chose to get views from Kieran Maguire and nothing to do with anything Rob has said. If that isn’t the case then please correct me but I don’t recall seeing anything to suggest Rob has said anything libellous or incorrect.
Kieran also seemed very happy to state that they have ‘robustly’ replied to a separate letter from Raj or the club (not sure who sent it.) It’ll interesting to see how that pans out.

If Pools have some success on the field the money lost on ST sales will be recouped at the gates.
