I'm guessing today is the day that the squad numbers will be published. Can't recall it being this late in the past. Maybe they were waiting to confirm the keeper first.

Here's my first 11 guess and team for tomorrow
playing 3-5-2

1. Cartwright
2. Mr Benn
3. Topolaj
4. Parkes
5. McNally
6. Kougan
7. Miley
8. Sheron
9. Johnson
10. Reid
11. Francis

It's getting retired, there is no one lovely enough to fill it after Anthony.

new keeper number 1 - interesting

Sounds like Yeovil recruitment been fairly last minute due to takeover issues etc so could well be 2 teams in the same boat tomorrow

Are squad numbers relevant anymore? Players have their first, second or nick names across the backs of their shirt. Referees know most players in the leagues they cover anyway.

wish we were back in the old days of players numbered 1 to 11 and subs numbered after that. would give more relevance then to experts talking about playing the number 8, 10 roles for a start.

Keeper
Left n right back
2 Centre backs
2 wingers
Left n right half's (centre midfielders)
2 centre forwards.

2 subs.

Them were the days.

diving, faigning injury, pre rehersed goal celebrations, tippy tappy playing out from the back, but dare put a really strong tackle in and its now called excessive force. the games gone.
