Got up this morning and checked the BBC weather app and it said it was sunny all day. Immediately after switched on Radio Tees (Middlesbrough) and it said there will be heavy showers and thunder so take a brolly.
The Met Office says it going to be dry and sunny.
Its all so inaccurate its dangerous.

Just guesses at the end of the day. Serious forecasting services available to marine and aviation usually give a confidence figure in their predictions expressed as high/medium/low or as a percentage. If we all planned our lives around the MSM forecasts we'd probably not get out much - too hot/cold/windy/wet/misty/slippery/etc etc

Aye, get the shipping forecast for you area if you live on the coast.

Mind you, all the hype about the wind yesterday with LNER cancelling services reeks of over reaction.
It was windy, but these dramatic weather graphics and naming the ‘storms’ makes you feel as though the weather is getting worse due to the old global warning.

its all part of there plan. we were told there would be gusts of 40 to 50 mph. once that was never mentioned as it was the norm for the vast majority of days on the tops. normal weather forcasts are too general off the television as we all know what happens on the coast can be a lot different only a few miles inshore.

Study the sky clouds n wind direction to get a good idea if its Gunna be beer garden weather.

And certainly don't believe the BBC Hartlepool BBC weather app on ya phone.

Tomorrow will be just fine

know weather forecasting will never be 100% accurate but they seem to get it wrong more now than they used to do.
