Union Jack Dress Controversy

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

its been made worse for this kid as she will be now in the limelight for weeks on end now and will start many copycats who will follow her but without her convictions. the school has opened a real can of worms by there attitude to a single pupil who would have been better for them just to give her the few minutes she wanted.

Nope it will be about the thousands of Afghans arriving in the U.K., the ones the U.K. ‘abandoned’ there when we pulled the troops out, must have been a few thousand on the payroll of the U.K. forces ?

I can’t imagine Trump taking any but the soft U.K. will open the doors, don’t they realise these people don’t believe in contraception and in years to come we will be outnumbered and overrun, the U.K. is well and truly fu**** up.

Worth remembering they all have huge extended families, even huger when they get wind of a ticket to the land of milk and honey. I bet the numbe of Afghans who actively helped the UK armed forces will be a mere handful, the rest will be their dependents.

If todays politicians were in charge during the Falklands they’d have brought the Argie prisoners over here to live on a pension, then paid the Argentinian Government to take over the Falklands…quickly prosecute all the task force members for war. crimes (winning) and give them the the Isle of Wight ……renamed…...Islas Blanco.

Do you belive that some Royal Marine "accidentally" released the names of these Afghans? Seems the perfect way of bringing in upwards of 25 thousand Afghans without the British public knowing about it. What an absolute abject betrayal. No fecking wonder there are no houses or flats to buy or rent. This has cost over 7 billion of tax payers money, so enjoy your tax rises everyone. Sickening.

I dont watch the BBC but I am guessing they barely mention it. The liberal establishment at its best.

Why is it when a situation like this comes up it’s suggested there should be a public enquiry, what for, whats it going to achieve, yes mistakes were made but noughts going to change.
We have the Covid enquiry still going on costing millions, yes mistakes were made hindsight is great but it’s not going resurrect all the unfortunate people who passed away. The money would be better spent chasing up the companies who supplied faulty PPE and others who fraudulently received Covid benefits.

Considering this "mistake" is costing the tax payer 7 billion isn't it strange the person responsible has not been disciplined?

I'm no fan of endless and expensive public enquiries but the object of one is establish what went wrong, who was responsible and to put actions in place to stop it happening again, the governments we had in charge the last decade or so are capable of repeating the blunders again if rigid preventative measures are not put in place.

Yes but nothing very rarely ever happens to the people responsible for their actions, plenty of recommendations but very little action normally.

Why was there a super injunction ?
Some media outlets are saying because the Afghans fought alongside and supported the U.K. they have a right to asylum or whatever, not my opinion btw.
How many Afghans who supported US Troops have applied for asylum in the United States, Over 79,000 Afghan evacuees were admitted to the US between July 2021 and January 2022 through Operation Allies Refuge and Operation Allies Welcome, according to the Middle East Institute. Additionally, about 180,000 Afghans have fled to the US since the Taliban takeover in 2021.

No point in complaining as any MP as far as I am aware can raise the topic of a super injunction in parliament under Parliamentary Privileges, why did none of them do it ?

I think the “super” bit in super injunction made sure that they didn’t even know about it. That’s why it’s so controversial.
