the thing is it has worked. bradford city run a holiday camp for kids a few miles from me. take the dogs there occasionally and the vast majority of em have premier league and even foreign teams replica kits on with only a few with there local sides ones on. must have spent a fortune after my lad got into football finding a non premier outfit dor him to support. unfortunetly he was not into pools but taking him to his choice stockport was far better than him being an armchair villa or coventry fan like most of his mates were.

It’s the greedy claws attracting the maximum return…..my lads had foreign shirts, they loved a different shirt….both had German national team shirts……I found one photo of them at Pompey, one had a Pompey shirt and the other a Rangers shirt…they were in their early teens and even dressed their four year old sister up in a Celtic shirt and put her in goal…before I intervened

I'd rather Joe Grey stayed at Pools than left, but I'm not surprised he's struggling to get fixed up. 6 goals in 39 appearances last season is nothing to write home about for a forward. His record was much better the season before, when he was still under contract with us.

Joe got through an incredible amount of work tracking back in games for LL and Limbrick - maybe too much for his own good, as he was on the pitch first and foremost to score goals. He (or his agent) obviously turned down Pools' initial offer of a new contract - maybe both parties have moved on at this point?

no. mainly he gets forgiven for poor games anf hopes and expectations are high because he is a local lad. if he had been signed from another club would fans be as bothered if he did leave. i prefer him to play for us but mainly for his energy as his goals come when you least expect them.

Probably inundated with offers seriously being badly advised by an agent, Featherstone did that before and ended up resigning for Pools.
