It was so great to catch up with successful business leader Shelley Hammond recently to discuss her many exciting plans for our town.
Hartlepool born and bred, she’s a true champion for our community. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

Yeah, saw that. Really happy he's got involved, a sitting MP of the government in power might give things a nudge along. He's genuinely a pools supporter too. Good on him

If he manages to put his political clout behind it and get it through, I'd imagine a few people might be inclined to vote for him

I'm not overly arsed about politicians involving themselves in sports either, but I think this is more about him being a supporter as well and seeing what everyone else is seeing.
The memory of Iain Wright going on like a tit in front of the TV cameras when we were on about signing Ched Evans still makes my skin crawl.

Money has sway in these scenario’s…it’s all about the money, politicians are just there to bask in the glow…so I suspect the deal is done.

A film village apparently, the council have just got a £16.5 million grant to develop it.

with his position he has far more clout than even a group of poolies will ever have. it does not matter really if he is a poolie or a fan of another club or has no interest in football. its doing the best for the club which also means the town in general that counts.
