How we took the piss over Darlo as that snooty voiced iconic message,….MIND THE GAP!…. beloved of tube users ….utters that phrase.
Then used by us to rub salt in the wounds…..?
Maybe on reflection, the announcer should have said in that snooty voice..’Mind the Raj’.

I’m a great believer in what goes around comes around, so I avoid it.

I thought it was the loids that started that, when Gorgeous took over, with his PremierShit in 5 years bollocks. (The year before the Worm Holocaust)

'We're sooo RICH it's unbelievable!'
'Georgey Georgey Show us, your Scarf!' - didn't age well!

Toot Toot!

And look where it got them….nowhere.
If the boot had been on the other foot we’d have been the same and don’t deny it.
As for who started it ……you’d need a Time Machine.
It’s good old rivalry, I do miss it sadx

100% we'd all be the same

We could end up reigniting that rivalry in the NLN sooner rather than later :(

Yes, we only have the one rival- as much as Carlisle, York and the Heed (to a lot lesser extent) try to wind us up- it's very much them that are bothered about us rather than us worrying about them.

As Vera Lynn once said- 'We'll meet again'........
Just hope it's NO lower than the current abyss we find ourselves in

Hartlepool and Darlo are ‘frenemy’s’ :-o

They’ll always be those on both sides who take it too far.

I've a feeling in my water that we'll draw Darlo in the FA Cup first round next season, wonder what the capacity is at their current ground?, and how many tickets we'd get if it happened, would probably have to be played at the Arena due to high demand

I never had any bother at Feethams Sussex, there was always an atmosphere and a look over your shoulder in those tight lanes around the ground, nearly got hit with a full can of lager at the white elephant while standing in the car park mind after the 3-0 win there.

Always parked up on the road to Blackwell Grange, when I grew up, no chew whatsoever.

Apart from having a few bricks lobbed on us after Joe had scored that crucial late winner I can't recall any chew at good old Feethams. I remember that we once occupied the tinshed before the Loids had even arrived and those nice gentlemen of Durham Constabulary allowed us to remain there - early-mid 70s I think.

Not such a popular drink now but the centre of the tin shed always reeked of stale brown ale back in the 70's if the place was full.. memories eh :)

I remember a Darlo fan being pursued near the Marina Bridge and jumped on a No7 bus and the driver obligingly pulled off towards the headland..as we were in the car behind it never stopped even at the Balls roundabout when we went another way….wonder if he got asylum on the Headland.
