I ran the Blackpool Marathon, quite some time ago, wearing a Ron Hill 'string vest' top. It did it's job helping to keep me cool on a roasting hot day. But I had a very strange sunburn for a couple of weeks, you could have played noughts & crosses on my chest.

A dark blue pair of Ron Hill Trackstars used to by my standard issue sportswear in the mid 80's for about 90% of Marines.

And you'll be pleased to know that Ron Hill tracksters are still going strong to this day!

Ron also used to compete bare foot in a lot of his races whether it be track, road or cross country, non of this gimmicky mid-sole, heel counter technology malarkey with our Ron!
