True, but once the outcome is revealed I guarantee that within a few months at least half the people on here will be claiming that 'they knew all along' what was going to happen

[quote="Grayhoundend"]The usual rumours flying around this morning.

Takeover announcement Imminent, Today.

And believe it or not a new Manager.

Take it or leave it, We will see.

Any idea what time the announcement is coming out Greyhound - 9pm? 10pm? Midnight special? It's just that I need to be up at 6am tomorrow to get in the queue for my season ticket.

Well there's a surprise - two weeks to go, before it goes belly up- unless Raj has guaranteed the league, that the club will continue. Don't understand why he put out a deadline of the end of the season.

I actually think he'll still be here next season at this rate. Why else would you not give ANY update about the progress of an impending sale- were it actually real.

The SARFend takeover saga dragged on months into this season before it was finally done. At least they had an idea of WHO was buying it- we don't even have that.

I suspect we'll start next season with the 4 contracted players and a bunch of kids making up the numbers. This constant deal bullshit is for the birds, Raj ain't going anywhere, and will be death by a thousand cuts. This is an absolute shambles - however par for the course in the life of a Pools fan. :angry-screaming:

I’m a bit confused. Despite this being exactly the same as Raj said at Darlo, there seems to be this situation where everybody assumes this isn’t going to be the case this time at Pools. Why, exactly? I haven’t seen any reason at all why he isn’t going to do what he’s said he’s going to do, which is piss off and leave the club to its own devices.

Maybe it’s hidden somewhere in this thread and I’ve missed it but I don’t see any real evidence that anyone is going to come in and pay Raj what he’s asking for.

Raj wanted money, some people have matched what he wants and the deal is going through. The process is clearly ongoing and it’s just a matter of time before it’s announced. Any other club would just say this but Raj being Raj no-one is allowed to say anything. If there was no buyer we’d know about it.
From everything that’s been said previously, we’ll have a new owner soon.
We’re heading to a post-Raj era. Rejoice.

Until the club release a statement or a takeover is actually announced- all we have is PURE speculation. People or certain attention seeking individuals just want to be the ones to say 'I told you so- I told you I knew, I want an apology' When the reality is that they know FUCK ALL and are just spouting bollocks.

Raj could have put a stop to all this ages ago, but his thin skinned ego has allowed the snowball to build into an avalanche of shite. That we're now left to wade through, thus showing his utter contempt for the fanbase, which is based primarily on a few attention seeking keyboard warriors posting defamatory shite on social media.

Spot on. The contempt for the majority of fans has been suicidal for anyone wanting to run a successful business.
We are going to be just fine, which isn’t speculation. The really hard bit was agreeing a price with Raj - the club’s own statement said this was agreed. Raj is a massive tit but he won’t scupper a deal that’s worth a lot of money to him. He might (and is) making the fan base worry but it’s a done deal.
I’d also extrapolate, if someone has a big sum of cash to pay Raj off, they have a plan for the club. Why would you pay 500k/1m/2m whatever it is without an end goal. That’s why I think it’ll all be fine.
And also HUST said enough in their statements to suggest it’ll be fine and have since been silent. I’d like to think as fans first and foremost they’d flag up any concerns about our future.

Can't rule out a 25/26 non season the way it's going which could accellarate the MHMP.
Then the Vic could be in jeopardy.

Just a maybe

Good post KPG, the moderator should delete any posts that don't provide details of the source of the information, this board' is clearly being contaminated by non Pools fans with no vested interests.

As for the doom and gloom merchants, I find it very hard to believe that the only true 'superfan' Sir Jeff would not have spoken out if the clubs future was in immediate jeapordy, NDA or no NDA and maybe instigated a rescue plan. I could be wrong but we shall see

I'd imagine that if the deal involves anyone who was part of the failed Consortium then HUST would be in the know to some extent, and if the deal was in jeopardy I'd imagine that the alarm bells would be ringing very loudly.
Given that the statements released so far said that acceptable bids have been made the delay can only be around how the payments are made. It's a bit strange that the Consortium bids attempt was up against Raj set deadlines but no deadlines have been announced so far.
Something definitely needs to happen soon though, without any assurances of what's happening, every player will be considering options and a lot will be securing their futures elsewhere at the earliest opportunity.

Maybe Grey n Miley.

The latest statement from the club confirms what I was getting at.

There’s no party remotely close to taking over at this stage. Months in and zero parties with proof of funds.

You've got to read between the lines. Sounds quite positive in an interim board kind of way.

Honestly, if people have some insider information that hasn’t been published then that’s fantastic news.

All is read is that there was one party who got as far as due diligence, and that party did not want to, or were not able to, provide proof of funds.

That usually means they’ve done due diligence and don’t want to go ahead, or it means they’ve done due diligence and don’t have the required funds to go ahead.

Like I say, if there’s inside knowledge that I don’t have then fantastic, but in normal football takeover language this is not great.

If there was a positive takeover it would of happened by now.

Most likely a delay for legal reasons to Administration.

Only 4 options still on the menu with very fine margins.

Takeover or A

Then back the decision or don't.

Think Raj will stay on rather than put us into Administration. If we go into Administration football related debt takes priority over other creditors, so Raj will be down the queue for anything back at all.
It all seems very strange, last time buyers had to deposit funds with solicitors before they got to see the club accounts and do their due diligence. This time they're seemingly getting access to the books and doing due diligence without proving they have money?
Is Raj simply building up to be our saviour again and staying on?

I think that a lot of this is Raj stalling and playing these other interested parties one against the other to try and get more money. This is the man who when Ryan Reynolds made him an offer told him to increase, he did but at Wrexham and the rest is history. It is strange that this consortium passed due diligence but then in his words failed to show proof of funds . Raj is supposed to be leaving the running of the club to the interim board who have to have his permission to put out a statement they are no more than lap dogs.

Due diligence is literally the last step of a takeover. First it was 'no proof of funds', then 'no deposited proof of funds' now it's 'full deposit of funds'. Sounds like he knows they have the money, why would he allow a group access to the books without proof of funds and an accepted offer, but wants it done asap and they want it done when they're ready.

So there you go, there is a buyer at an advanced stage of the process. Plus some waffle and Raj thanking himself for being great.

At least that screenshot suggests a real human being making a comment that could be in some way meaningful. A small step and a big leap, all at the same time.

With that in mind, my attention now shifts to whether Raj will be a dickhead or not.

That's an option that I only realised this morning.

ST deadline extended to the end of June then July.

He's still notfor plenty like.
Totally clueless. :angry-tappingfoot:

It’s as though the fans can be safely ignored like it’s none of their business.
But it is their business…!
No one is asking for live screened discussions ffs..just a basic indicator of how things are proceeding, is that asking too much….?

See Raj's I-Speak-Your-Weight machine claims "A significant number of supporters have already bought their season tickets" and wants the rest of us to follow suit by the end of May - when the message is that that takeover negotiations have stalled!

I'll renew mine when the club has an owner who makes a clear undertaking to fully fund the club next season. I wouldn't buy anything else on the basis that I MIGHT be able to use it.

you have got it all wrong. fans are just a necessary evil who should know there place. we need to just pay up and shut up as they,d love us not to be there if they could afford it. we are just one level of the game where none of em are close. owners and directors, players and coaching staff with fans another group.

Thing is Snowy the Interim Board are behaving as though they are selling the club, They are not.
They are at most a go between for Raj.

What i took from the statement from the interim board was that SH and her Legal team are doing the DD to make sure there were no hidden nasties.
Who on earth would deposit FULL funds until DD was completed.

Only 1 person can now fuck this up!!

It wouldn't be pools if we didn't stretch this out a bit longer ruining another season in the process. All getting a bit boring now, wish it was just all done either way so we know where we stand.
