Anyone know of any decent repair people. The battery has been going dodgy on it for a while but saturday night I spilt some coke the drinking type on it and its showing as a dead battery when I plug it in and the bastid thing wont fire up

Dont want to buy a new battery £40!!!! and find its not that. And, I can only use the library or dinner breaks at work and its pishing me right off

Any ideas or contacts????

Dragon Computers in Murray street are very helpful and repair down to component level.

Mind you coke in the machine has probably done for it.

Theres a place in Friar Street in Shotton Colliery repairs them and he wont charge you for having a look at it before you decide if you want it repairing.

If you've spilt coke on the keyboard then almost certainly knackered it by frying the motherboard. By all means get it checked over but also consider that this is a genuine insurance claim and if you do claim they will probably come back and tell you its beyond economical repair. They'll then send you a brand new up to date laptop.
