Is it an exercise to see just how the land lays overall and take a sounding.. a time buying exercise to smoke out any potential buyers……I just don’t see this as straightforward…it’s too neat, tidy and odd.
This benign departure has me wary.
Is he actually going to go. sctatchinghead

I dont think he,ll go anywhere until he gets the amount of money he wants to sell, he,s only gonna leave on his own terms.

The clubs been up sale for while, is Singh trying to force a sale by threatening to withdraw his funding, what has he to gain financially by putting Pools into admin, I would say nothing. No parachute payment next season so there are bound to be cutbacks, does he fund the youth set up, obviously with less funding the quality of players could be even less. If he still owns the club come the following season I doubt fans will be queuing up to buy season tickets.

Just seems a bit convenient that he's come out with this at the time when parachute payments are about to stop and the loan repayments to Sport England are about to start!!
Mmmmmmmmmmm. sctatchinghead

Ours is the featured game on DAZN this weekend so he should get plenty of publicity nationwide, wonder if that had anything to do with the timing of his announcement. Singh works in mysterious ways.

I like your optimism but has anyone ever heard of Hartlepool in the States never mind Hartlepool United not unless their Granny was born there.

It's Stephen Paylor, he was part of the consortium last year and recently invested in Bray Wanderers. Said he has emailed Raj + Ian (?) but has had no response, 'Can never find out what is needed or how to move forward' + 'It is unprofessional to speak about it but im not really sure what else to do'.

Like i stated they were supposedly part of the Consortium, With the trust. And if you kept up you would know we do have hartlepool born people interested in pools.

As regards to my optimism, I have NONE for pools OR this Democracy we live in.

I think it's his son Leggie, who's also called Paul just to confuse things.

I'm sure Goffy Senior will be involved somewhere down the line mind, and we'll get the likes of Les Dennis, Joe Pasquale and The Krankies live at The Corner Flag..!

Yes Kenny although I know the dad a bit I have never met the son. I assumed he would also be called Goffy but I really have no idea. sctatchinghead I always find it strange when a dad and son have the same name.

if a couple of people came down to the vic and said they were willing and able to put cash into the club without having a say how it will be used he,d do a quick U turn. its something he has been after shortly after taking over the job.thing is it aint going to happen as nobody is that foolish no matter who owns the club.
